Where is the Best Over-30 Singles Scene in Denver, Colorado?
My sister and I went there just for some drinks and were very impressed. It was my birthday and they gave us a free dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The recommended great wines, and the artichoke dip was also great- actual artichokes, not like some places that you go where is is just pureed and you can tell it came from the freezer! The only drawback is the extremely loud bar across the street! Of course Vines is a little pricey, but that ‘s because it’s a wine bar! If you want cheap, go to the bar across the street.Pros + Great wine list, good foodCons – Across from a very loud bar
I have been going to The Celtic ever since it first opened around 8-9 years ago. It may not be fully “authentic Irish”, but it is certainly more so than “Faux-do” (Fado) near Coors Field. They have a great selection of beers, the ambience is very casual, and (if you happen to smoke), it’s just about the only game in town (unless you want to fork over wads of cash to watch strippers at The Diamond Cabaret, or hang out at the rather stuffy Churchill Bar at the Brown Palace). There is also (usually) a live band playing on Saturday nights. If you’d rather not deal with the smoke, you can just wander next door to their sister pub, Delaney’s (where they have live music on Fridays).Slainte!Pros + Ambience (smoke and all), beer selectionCons – A bit testosterone-heavy some nights
My fiance and I live just a few blocks away from the Uptown Tavern, so we often go there. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Sunday, Tuesday, or Saturday night. It’s always crowded. More times then not, we are forced to sit in the back where smoking is legal. The front of the bar is very nice & comfortable – if you can get a seat there. If you do have to sit in the back with the smokers, (and you most likely will be) you can make the most of it with mini-bowling and table-top-shuffle board in the game room, which is awesome!Service usually pretty good, with a glitch or 2 every now and then. We were there the other day, (crowded of course and sitting once again in the back) and I ordered a Stella draft and Finace ordered a Miller light bottle. About 10 minutes later, we both received Miller Light DRAFTS. Whatever….we were so thirsty and hungry we let the beers slide and ordered our pizza right away. Our pizza came, and we had to wait another 5 minutes while the food runner had to g
