Where is the Best Over-30 Singles Scene in Dallas, Texas?
We have been hanging out on the patio at Vino for about 2 years. We have come to know the owners and it is like an extension of our own living room. I have had numerous gathering there from birthdays, New Years, anniversaries and just good old girls night. There are numerous regulars who first met over a glass of wine at the bar but now meet to discuss wine and over time have become friends. The staff is great ! Denise the wine expert is awesome, she is well traveled and a certified somlier(sp) she selects the wine and has yet to recommend a wine we did not like. They owners are innovative and have expanded the food menu with Great Cheese and other great nibblesPros + wine and more wine great wineCons – parking– not every one knows they can park at Post Garage
I love this place. Who knew you could have a real winery in the middle of Dallas. The place is a cross between a hip urban lounge and a winery that you might find in Napa. I was introduced to Times Ten by a friend and now I bring all of my friends. I recommend doing a tasting on your first visit where you can choose what you like. They have a very attractive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff but your best bet is to find one of the 3 owners. One of them is always there and I like getting their recommendations. If they have time they will even take you on a tour. They have a limited food menu but let you bring in food or even have it delivered. I’ve seen their wines on a few local menus and I hope to see even more places serve their wines. My only complaint is that there prices are a little high for bottles to take home. Check out the monthly wine special and you can find a deal. Pros + Personal serviceCons – retail wine costs are a little high
I must admit I was extremely nervous about doing this. I hate doing things alone and here I was driving to the event ALONE, finding a parking spot ALONE, finding the kayaking place ALONE, and introducing myself to the host ALONE. All the time I was questioning myself “why”. Lucky for me I went through all of the alone stuff and slowly was introduced to a group of people as they signed in. First, the group was very nice and friendly. Second, I LOVED the kayaking, and can’t wait to go again. Greg was fantastic in giving me all kinds of tips while we were waiting in our kayaks, and even shared his story of recently tipping over after being labeled the “expert” in the group. Laura, Rick, Tom, Ward, and the others who I am really sorry I can’t remember their names were very friendly and shared some of their favorite choices of events and adventures. I will definitely be on the list when the next kayaking adventure is posted.Pros + Great events and fun peopleCons – A little more than I
you know..Clear is a beautiful club!! honestly the people aren’t nice startin from the doormen..i mean i got in(even though im a guy) but i think it was luck according to what i heard afterwards..the music was pretty good im not gonna lie but the service was horrible at the bar! i do think there is definitely a racial barrier at this club..the women are beautiful but seem stuck up[ now i say seem because i dont know em outside the club]..oh and that guy is right! they do over-charge you on your bank statements someone needs to report that to the state or somethin cuz thats gotta be illegal!Pros + Beautiful women and pretty good musicCons – Terrible bartender and front door service
Although our Entertainment Book coupon wasn’t honored, Sol Irlandes posted that on the door and marquee. Attentive staff, including the valet. Manager checked on us twice and the wait staff worked as a team to take care of ours and the neighboring tables’ needs. Great food and drink at fair prices. We shared the Fish Taco Wrap and Acapulco Enchiladas. Best location on Main Street, too.Pros + Great Waitstaff, management, , drinks, and atmosphereCons – The chips didn’t do justice to the fantastic salsa
