Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Tucson, Arizona?
Our Group: Eight people – 4 couples – group visits upscale restaurants once a monthGreeter – someone who gave us a “why are you bothering me attitude”, very insincereServer – either new or just a very poor server. We had to wait long periods of time between ordering, had to ask for refills on bread/water; our drink order was either partially delivered or wrong. When we got our bills ( we asked for separate checks from the start, were told “no problem” ) everyone’s bill was wrong – – mixed items, undercharges, overcharges, items not ordered – took 3 attempts to get the bills correctFood – Very good food, nice presentation, excellent flavor combinations, desserts good as well. They did run out of bread and one of the ordered deserts – Based on service and service staff attitude and consistency – I would not recommend the restaurant.Pros + Good Parking, Good FoodCons – Poor Service, Poor Service, Poor Service
I went on a Monday night with my cousin and discovered they did indid have a pool table. It was a bit of a joke the bar put one in because it was very crowded with furniture and we had to keep moving chairs around to get a shot off. The best part of my experience was the Firkin Cheeseburger. Very tasty and juicy. I also enjoyed having my drink outside on the big patio. Pros + Firkin Burger, PatioCons – Overcrowded
This is by far the best of the Metro resurants. Old Pueblo has inventive food, great service and the best outside dining in Tucson. The only drawback is the the pigeons that invade any table left alone and some that are still occupied. The interior is beautiful too. My biggest complaint about the Old Peublo was having New Years Eve dinner there with a very overpriced and limited menu. It looked like the Old Pueblo the service was like the Old Peublo but the food was like any other mediocre Metro resturant.Pros + Outdoor seating, Inventive menu
This is a great place to check out. It’s a local place with a grungy feel (in a good way!) and has great beer. Some of the reviews have gone a little overboard on the ratings (I didn’t see pizza on the menu, but apparently it’s rated as one of the best in Tucson?? and romantic?? Hardly.) The good news is- this is a really fun place to check out. It’s nestled (that means it’s very hard to find- especially in the dark!) among warehouses. If it’s your first time at Nimbus, be prepared to order beers and food from a line at the bar. A server brings your food to your numbered table. (That was a bit confusing since no one told us that.) The food was great and very affordable. Check it out.Pros + Interesting atmosphere, great microbrews, great place to hang out with the “crew”Cons – hard to find
