Another location for this chain. Everything is just like all the others, except for the service. It is slow at times and not as friendly as their locations. Still a nice place to hang and have fun; the patrons are really great.

I’ve just moved to the area and so I’ve only known the place by the name “Fastnet”, but it seems like the locals still refer to it as “Aidan’s”. I like that name better, but there must be some reason for the change.I really like this place. They actually serve imperial pints (20oz.) for a decent price, so you sort of have to remember that as your taking them down. Otherwise, you can end up pretty tipsy. The place has a great Irish pub feel to it — I hear Irish accents more than American in there. The bartenders are pretty quirky and cool. Sports are almost always on tv, but more often than not, Irish soccer or rugby, instead of American sports. They’re happy to change the channel for you, though. On Sunday afternoons, there normally some kind of live Irish music playing. This puts a bit of a damper on the situation if you’re trying to watch a ball game.Their food is okay at best. They don’t have the best fish’n’chips in town. (In fact, I’m still looking for those.) We got lucky and found a parking space right in front of Brick Alley. Not know anything about it except the awards posted by the front door, we took a chance and were very happy with our lunch. My husband’s steak and cheese sandwich was huge and very good, I chose the Buffalo chicken pizza and this was wonderful, just really tasty. My sister picked the club sandwich and it was very generous too. Can’t wait to go back and try the dinner options sometime. Our server was pleasant and refilled drinks right way – nice. The salad bar looked good. Bathrooms were spotless, which is one of my criteria for a top rating.Pros + Good food, great portions, friendly staff who looked like they enjoy working thereCons – parking (its Newport after all), not much else!

Zebra’s is a great place to go for either a romantic night out or to celebrate with friends or family. There is a nice lounge area with comfy chairs and attentive cocktail waitresses at you walk in, and I often show up an hour or so before I plan to eat to just ahng out and have a drink with my friends. The dining area is small, but very comfy and the art on the walls creates a fun, eclectic but classy ambiance. The service has always been outstanding, and I believe many of the staff have worked there for quite a while (in fact, I have had the same server ot my table each of the last 2-3 times my family has eaten there during the Christmas season). The food is prepared superbly (medium actually has some pink still showing, medium-rare is not charred, etc) and I have always enjoyed the variety of ingredients found in their various dishes. Additionally, there is a sushi bar available, but I have not tried it to-date. Overall, this is a great restaurant, in the mold of those in Bo
