Maynard’s is a great place to go for dining and relaxing however they lack in proffessionalism. This restaurant is very busy and thier staff is always stressed and it shows. The management is very unprofessional and short with customers and thier phone edicate is terrible. Go there if you want a good meal, but don’t expect to be treated as if you are spending any money, because they just want to turn tables.Pros + Lake Minnetonka, PatioCons – , poor management, music outdoors

We’ve eaten here a few times over the last few years. Each time it gets louder and more full of large groups with children. Our recent visit was a Saturday night. We waited 30 minutes for a table and then were seated between two large groups of parents, toddlers and preteens. I love kids but not when I’m out on Saturday night for drinks. Last time for us.

I understand that the food is slightly high priced (10-25 dollars) but I just read a review saying that a slice of veal is 25 dollars with no sides, and that sides are 10 dollars extra. For 35 dollars you can get more food than two people could possibly finish and a mug of beer each.Point is, if you like German food, Black Forest is good. The service can be amazing or slow depending on the server you get, the cocktails are slightly overpriced, the atmosphere is great on nights and weekends especially, and they have great beer. Sit at the bar or bar tables on a weekday if you want good atmosphere, if you want peace and quiet to read the paper or have a conversation, sit in one of the two dining rooms.Good – SaurbratenShnitzlesCheeseburgerGerman Potato SaladRubenSaurkrautBratsAll food is made on site (except the Polish sausage).Pros + Parking, atmosphere, food, oktoberfestCons – Cocktail price, service on extremely busy nights

My wife and I love W.A Frost. It is always our first choice for date night. We especially love it at the bar – always great service and the bar menu is great food to share in a more relaxed setting. Our current favorite is the BLT with fries – it is so good. We highly recommend the bar for a great dinner or a relaxing drink. Can a brag about the patio in March? The patio is the best in the twin cities.Pros + great service & great ambianceCons – it is a popular place, Valet parking is great on the weekend

I have gone to the Liffey many times on Fridays after work for happy hour. They have tasty corn beef and cabbage and serve Finnigans ale. Life is good when sitting on the terrace drinking a fine local beer and having Irish food. I was a waitress for many years before I got my sit-on-my-butt office job and I have a lot of respect for anyone working in a busy restaurant. They have an efficient waitstaff, The only negative thing is that before a Wild game when the place starts to get very busy, it appears that they try to move people out quickly. My co-workers and I have received our bill without asking if we wanted anything else and there were a couple of times that we were not ready to leave and were ready to order another beer. Aside from that, this is a great place to unwind after work and the terrace is the best.
