Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Jacksonville, Florida?
I know everybody there and the food is great.I think the portions are rather big for the price. It is a weathered building, but that adds to the atmosphere. You almost expect to see old sea captains sitting at the bar, peg legged and eye patched. Check out the steam pots, hush puppies and the peanut butter and Key Lime pies. They are very well made. My favorite is the Grouper and the Flounder. Oh yeah, tip the waitresses well.
Putting Sneakers Sports Grill as the 2nd best steak in Jacksonville is a joke. Putting Ruth Chris is also a joke but that’s another email. The cut of meat was no better than a standard steakhouse strip, thin, little marbling with the texture of frozen leftovers. Great bar! Just not the 2nd best in town!
We love visiting Harpoon Louies! My husband and I often go to watch the game and take full advantage of the two for one draft beer! Were wild about the selection on perfect appetizer munchies, the pan seared fish nuggets, fried mozzarella cheese sticks, and wings always start us off! I often run home after work, pick up the dog and sit outside. The staff is very accommodating to costumers with dogs! The price is truly unbeatable! I got two draft beers for around 3 bucks! I also like to see the same wait staff, not constantly turning over high school kids as waitresses! I honestly enjoy it.Pros + perfect for watching the game! Cons – not enough parking
