Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Cleveland, Ohio?
Okay to be honest the service was excellent and the ambiance is nice. The wait staff was prompt, attentive and polite. But, the food was a major disappointment. I had the grilled shrimp. They were overcooked to the point of being dry and were also under spiced. My companion had the Paella … that was a major disappointment — the seafoods in the paella were all overcooked. I think the reason people like this place is that they serve very large proportions of red meat ..the prime rib looked really good .. but, I didnt go there for that.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday last week at Gamekeepers Taverne in Chagrin Falls. Although we live nearby and enjoy eating at upscale restaurants, neither one of us had been to Gamekeepers. I can’t imagine that we won’t be back soon. The meal was one of the best I’ve had in five years, and my husband agrees. We had an appetizer of mussels, cooked perfectly in a delicious tomato sauce, I had a pork chop and my husband got the elk. The waiter, Kevin, described some side dishes that were on the specials menu, and when we told him that they sounded so good, we wished we could pair them with our regular-menu items, he obliged, and even gave us extra so we could share. He recommended a house wine, which was great with both of our meals, and then we put ourselves over the top by ordering a layered chocolate mousse dessert that was sinful. Even the decaf was good! Kevin was attentive, but didn’t hover, and let us continue our sans-baby conversation while steathily refilling our waters
We were given a night at the Baricelli for our wedding last year, and stayed as an overnight getaway. The room was disappointing, particularly for the price ($200). We stayed in a deluxe room. The good news is it had a nice hip ceiling and lovely alcove around the window. The bad news was that the decor was sub-standard, particularly…
They actually have a nice thing there, But I was turned off by the whole Meat Market (read: pick-up-joint/find a romp-for-the-night) of the Flats overall. I remember when it wasn’t that way… (I’m 37)Pros + Environment is unique, really good dinner, Good date restaurantCons – somewhat pricy, pay for parking, Drunk 20-somethings.
The food is very good. They have a buffalo chicken egg roll appetizer that is very good. As for entrees they have an excellent salmon dish. The beer is good. Not my favorite micro brew. I am a person that enjoys a hoppy beer. Most of their beers are on the light side. The Lost Nation Pale Ale is probably their best brew.
