Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Charlotte, North Carolina?
The food is excellent. Served quick and hot. If your complaining about the food, you had the wrong server. Make sure you ask for Ben. We did have to wait a long time to be seated which was really frustrating when you can see open tables and they remain open through out your meal. Hope they were saving that seat for someone who paid that server a fat tip. Anywho, the wait is always worth it. Ben waited on us the first time and it was amazing, the whole experience. Excellent service, excellent recommendations, excellent personality, excellent pace; he should be running the show. The last time, Lisa waited on us. Not a good server, but I can look past that once or twice, especially once I get the food. She was overbearing and very pushy to the point of annoyance and I couldn’t enjoy my food. Also, haven’t you ever heard of silent service? I mean, if your going to interrupt a conversation, please excuse your self, that is how we act in the South. We just ignored her after awhile. The back
I went on Wed. 10/08/08 and got to see their brand new menu which is not yet posted online. Changes: 1. Veggie cheese is now Vegan Gourmet brand cheese 2. Now offer whole wheat pizza crust 3. No longer carry broccoli so the veggie pizza is now a California veggie pizza complete with avacado and tomatoes and roasted garlic! It was very good! 4. Added a veg. pasta dish 5. Added Mediterranian salad feat. bananas(?!) We ate at the bar and the bartender was very nice and went back to look at the new cheese to tell us the brand name. We were a little nervous about trying the new pizza but it ended up being really tasty. It’s much more filling than the old one.
I love going here with my friends. The location is just awesome the view is great from the restaurant and as for the food while I wouldn’t quite call it fine dining, but hey it’s a bar so I guess they do pretty good for being a bar. It’s just a fun atmosphere to come to and hang out with your friends.
Eds is the epitome of a neighborhood bar located in the mostly residential area of Dilworth. They have something on the menu to please just about anyone. Their burgers are great, all of their sandwiches have something to say for themselves and their newest addition “Fried green beans” are out of this world. The drink specials are as good as you are going to get in the city here. Almost every day you can get a domestic bottle/draft for $2, sometimes even cheaper. I know at one point they had $1.50 Coors drafts. Eds is a pretty big place but it does fill up quickly from Thurs-Sunday especially if a game is on they will be busy from 11am-close in most situations. They have plenty of televisions with various games. They have pool, juke box, checkers and darts. Friendly atmosphere, cheap drinks, good food…great recipe.
