Where is the Best Offbeat Store in Portland, Oregon?
A great shop, particularly for commuters. Not pretentious and no going to push bike gadgets on you, employees assess your needs based off what you want. Excellent service.Pros + Convient to North Portlanders, great selection for commuters, great customer serviceCons – Out of the way for SE cyclists, may need to order some items
I was so overwhelming impressed with everything about this store. The employees are friendly funny and sincere. They are very knowledgable and treat you like royalty even if you are not there to buy. They have this most exquisite selection of semi-precious gem and sterling silver jewelry that I have honestly ever seen. Beautiful selection, beautiful store, they also have all sorts of curios from the world over. An enchanting place to visit and a wonderful place to shop.Pros + Amazing selection, Charming staff, Exquisite& AffordableCons – Couldn’t buy all, Too much to see, parking
The review below is our first ever negative review. If you read the other reviews it is easy to see that it is extremely far-away from the other opinions. Once every few years you get a customer who has some personal issues. Unfortunately, this is one of them. This person filed a grievance with TWO local agencies and both institutions dismissed her claim very quickly. Our return policy is posted properly on our front desk and is NO DIFFERENT than most privately owned retail businesses on NW 23rd or even in PDX. (Returns are for merchandise only, unless a product is defective.) I cannot explain why the consumer below cannot understand under any circumstance why a business like ours (and many others) cannot afford to give cash returns, we are not a big chain store. But I do know we try our best to provide “personal, local” service and live up to all the other rave reviews, magazine and newspaper articles, and features in local tour books that are EXTREMELY positive.”Hello” is personal
Buying a bathing suit can be a painful and depressing experience. Poppi Swim and Sport makes it fun. The retro inspired bathing suits can be custom made to fit your body type, and you can choose from a wide assortment of patterns and colors. I was impressed with the woman who helped me choose a bikini style. I wanted some modifications: I am petite, but a 34DD. I had my halter top custom made. The price was quite reasonable: the top was about $20, and the cost to have it custom made was about the same. I have introduced several friends to Poppi, and each time I bring one, I find another bathing suit to buy. Here is the two cents of the friend I took today: OK, I am a self-avowed swimsuit freak. I even like suits with cutouts and rhinestones! I prefer two piece suits to one piece suits, as I have an extremely long torso. I’m small on top (32B) and small to medium in the hip region. I ended up with a bottom that was low-waisted, boy cut short, but which gathers on the side, so you can hi
I was looking at the customer post titled “unprofessional”, and can’t imagine anything remotely close. I have been shopping at Serious Juggling on a regular basis for the past 5 years, and much of the equipment I own has come from them. They don’t just carry juggling equipment, they juggle themselves and test the products they sell. In addition to their store in Portland, they regularly set up shop at regional and national juggling conventions, where they get even more feedback on their products. Beyond that, Ben has also been active on the competitive scene, judging “numbers juggling” competitions. I’m a hack in comparison, but they’ve never made me feel that way. They’ve always explained their products in terms I could understand, and helped me out with advice in areas I was trying to improve. They are utmost professionals. Best jugging store ever…Pros + Deep knowledge, great selection, great serviceCons – No “Seattle Branch”
