A Hawaiian dining place is not exactly the draw for most Seattleites. The initial draw of this place is the rum drinks, and those they have in abundance. The drinks are long, sticky, cold and often served with an umbrella sticking out of the top. Once you get two of the Luau’s rum drinks in you, you stop wondering what tiki tourist shop exploded and start to enjoy yourself This place isn’t thrown together or decorated with an eye to grass skirts, but the waitresses, even in the wintery rain, sling on Hawaiian-style flipflops and tanktops to serve dinner. Luau is also the only Seattle dig that manages the delicacy of a burger-egg-rice combination with anything approaching edibility. Luau, however, makes it with something approaching panache. Their seared ahi tuna and Yukon mashers are fantastic, and the portabella burger is ginormous. Luau also has a relaxed, quiet atmosphere that is in part due to their location – just north of Greenlake and perfect for an after dinner walk in the park

We went here for our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. My husband loves wine but really learned about it through the tour and wine tastings. We went during the week, so the guides were able to give more personal tours. Its has beautiful grounds w. fountains, peacocks, and views. The tour of the plant is free and the tasting tours are about $15. The wine bottle prices vary between $15-$1000. But that $15 bottles are a good buy and worth it! I have recommended this to a few friends bc we enjoyed it so muchPros + Pretty grounds, decent prices
