Bar tenders are usually nice. The bar is super crowded, and set up to be social. If you want to meet a lot of new and cool people this place is awesome. HOWEVER if you like singing karaoke you might be out of luck. The old white guy that hosts on the weekends makes attempting to sing even one song a hassle.I hate paying a cover to go into this bar on the weekends under the auspices that it’s paying for the karaoke host and then that host has the gall to DEMAND $10 to consider playing the song you signed up for 2 hours ago. With all the choices downtown, I keep getting drawn to HOB for their delicious Jambalaya, yummy steaks and don’t forget the Bread Pudding! Yum! Eileen (who used to be a server and now tends bar) is especially a delight – always upbeat and ready to please!

Pretty fun place, I like the back room and they have decent bands sometimes. One complaint, I was there on opening night and the men’s room somehow already looked like a bathroom in a 20 year old dive…

I adore the Hillcrest/Mission Hills area. So it so nice for me to have found this place. A few years ago, I went with a group of people and really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Our waitress had a cute accent on top of everything else!A few years later I took my husband and he loves it! Then we took his family, and they loved it!I love the fish and chips. The fish has just the right amount of batter wrapped around the tasty white flaky fish inside. The chips are thick cut fries and seem more healthy that others!AMAZING… I love it there.Don’t forget to visit the little “tea house” and gifty area next door!Pros + Food!Cons – Service is a little slow
