Where is the Best Off-The-Wall Date Spot in Los Angeles, California?
I’ve been here three times and have grown really fond of this place. You can’t deny the massive amount of character that this little bar has. Right when you walk in you’re greeted by mechanical puppets… kinda like the ones you’d see on Splash Mountain at Disneyland. They pop out of logs, play little guitars…the whole shebang. While this might sound kinda cheesy I personally love it and I love the decor and the drinks are great. They have a few specialty drinks and I’ve had the s’more type one… i can’t remember what its called exactly… maybe campfire? But you’ll know what I mean if you go… They have a plethora of beers on tap which is great and the staff is just as great. My favorite is the way they’ve set up some of their seating with a mock fireplace and a campsite kinda feel. Whoever came up with the interior design of this place deserves some kudos. I am new to the LA area and was nervous about finding a trustworthy wax girl. After all, she has to be a true confidant! After reading tons of reviews, I decided on NiteSpa. I loved the idea/concept ? normal people work. It seemed so fitting to keep the salon doors open until people could finish their hectic work day and settle in for a relaxing treatment. A bikini wax isn?t exactly relaxing, but Danielle made it as comfortable as possible. It was actually very tranquil and gave me time to rejuvenate before a night out on the town. My friend and I were looking for a fun place with no door drama, something with some spark, but where we could also talk, ya know? We’d never been to the Dresden and gave it a whirl last night. What a treat! Right away – the lot in the back is easy to park (and cheap!), the door staff was friendly, we were approached by a waitress in the bar who helped us find a little table (imagine that – proactive service!), and our waitress was attentive and friendly. She got a little overwhelmed i think when the place filled up around 11-midnight, but we were having fun so it was cool.The atmosphere is certainly enchanting and crowd was so mixed – everything from lively older couples to attractive singles to crowds of hipsters. Marty and Elayne are amazing & take requests!! 🙂 And some guest singers who popped up on stage were great too. Drink prices are also very reasonable – was surprised by how little the bill was. If you want a night out with some style and class, try the Dresden. Get there
