People are pretty right about this place. The front is crowded, try to get a table up towards the back, you will see everything that walks in and by since you are up a level and it’s on the way to downstairs. Downstairs was alright, the girl on the pole was nothing special to look at, but it is a fun scene….music was BLASTING. HUH!? WHAT?….yea don’t try talking to people don’t there. If your game is that you have no game, you could pull some girls at this place. It’s laid back…..as most east village places are.Mid 20’s crowd on Sat nite when I was there at 1:30.Pros + All Access ViewsCons – Drink wait

I recently had my B-day @ Happy Ending on 2/13. The place was packed with people and the crowd was mix. I enjoy happy ending since there wasn’t any cover charge and you’re able to reserve a table without bottle service. Since I had a group of 15 or more people, I had to reserve 2 booth tables. Because it was 2 booths and the tables were separate, the whole night I had to mingle back and forth btwn the 2 tables as my guest sat in 2 different booths. So if you have a party of 15 or more, I would not recommend getting a table with booths as they divide your guest in half. Also, when this place gets busy; be sure to wait 15-20 mins getting drinks upstairs. It’s a good place to go if you enjoy the layed back atmosphere.Pros + No Cover charge , Good Mix crowd, Cons – Long wait time with drinks, place can get really crowded with no place to dance.

I honestly get the feeling that the owners just want everybody to have a great time. Been there at least 12 times never once had an issue at the door.Pros + Sound system – you can actually chat while listening to incredible musicCons – coat check and bathroom lines are one of the same, don’t get stuck in the wrong line.

great place for an late afternoon or early evening drink with friends, especially during the summer months, great lighting, good service and very french 🙂 i enjoy having a glass of ricard (very french anise drink) and a light snack of cheese plate or avacado toast…music can range from avant-garde jazz, world music and/or williamsburg hipster rock…but, free of charge to dine and listen! don’t forget to tip the musicians…they earn solely on our (as customers) tips…Pros + atmosphere, serviceCons – can be noisy at times

I love this place! Whenever I’m in the LES I try to at least drop by to see who’s playing since they have tons of shows everyday. It’s almost always acoustic, singer-songwriter stuff, which in my experience has varied from good to incredible. The drinks are reasonably priced – comparable to what you would pay anywhere else in the area – and the beer selection is solid, if unspectacular. But the draw is the music! Don’t come expecting dance music or noise rock, though, because it’s always acoustic sets. There are two performance spaces, the main one is on the ground floor, and then Googie’s lounge is upstairs. Both spaces always have great shows that generally don’t charge a cover. You do have to order a minimum of one drink per set, which isn’t a big deal. You should go to this place, like tonight.
