Where is the Best Neighborhood Bar in Dallas, Texas?
. The MAT is an amazing place to hang out. People are nice and the staff is great. There is only one male bartender who is a complete a**hole. I wont mention any names, but his name starts with M. This guy will give you an attitude if you ask for extra ice! Avoid the place while he bartends, you will not have a good experience. Everyone else is amazing!!Pros + Awesome place to hang out Cons – Bartender named M****
For the longest time it seemed like Sherlocks was the only option in the area. It is a good bar all around. Nothing really special about it, but they do have good crowds and decent live music at times. It has a little character to it and I like it more than some of the restaurant bars in the area or the other choice which is a few bars that just seem to be trying too hard.Pros + Good feelCons – average service but hey it is bar service
Although our Entertainment Book coupon wasn’t honored, Sol Irlandes posted that on the door and marquee. Attentive staff, including the valet. Manager checked on us twice and the wait staff worked as a team to take care of ours and the neighboring tables’ needs. Great food and drink at fair prices. We shared the Fish Taco Wrap and Acapulco Enchiladas. Best location on Main Street, too.Pros + Great Waitstaff, management, , drinks, and atmosphereCons – The chips didn’t do justice to the fantastic salsa
This place is located across the street from the Stoneleigh Hotel, and it has been in business for a very long time due to its excellent burgers and atmosphere. The hamburgers and sandwiches are good, and you can get them on a pumpernickel roll. It has a great bar and is a fun place to hang out in the evenings, including late night. The have a pool table and darts in a back room, and there is an outside patio. The bartenders and wait staff provide good service, and I have always enjoyed meals or drinks there. Prices are very moderate $15 for a meal, before drinks and tip.
