Where is the Best Nail Salon in New York, New York?
What an experience. I went for the full Privacy Reserve package which includes a facial, swedish massage, manicure, pedicure and a gourmet lunch (with champagne if you ask for it). It was amazing. The service people are so friendly and professional. They kept asking me for anything that I wanted. I also got a chance to try the La Prairie products and I am really impressed with the quality. The lay out of the spa is very beautiful and relaxing, if only perhaps a bit small on a busy Sunday. Overall I give this a 10/10… but be ready to spend a lot of money on the experience. My facial (inculding extractions) was glwoing without ANY usual marks on my face. The manicure and pedicure are fantastic. Rachel is extremely sweet and gives the best french manicure I’ve ever had in my life. I was extremely happy afterwards. Even my lunch was delicious and fresh. I’ve had my hair cut and styled (and permed) by Rodney for almost 10 years and going. He was recommended to me by a friend of mine who swore by him and after having my first hair cut with him, I understood why she would be such a loyal customer. My brother in law has been working in the beauty industry for over 20 years and has an eye for hair cuts and coloring — and he has admired Rodney’s handwork on my hair every year I see him at family functions. I can go there with utter trust that he would do the right thing for me.As for the salon, he had recently moved to Roy Teeluck and I was truly impressed with the care and service I received there – they not only serve the usual tea and coffee but wine! The place is also very cozy and beautiful, and I got a complimentary manicure by Edith, who did an amazing job with my nails.Came out of there glowing with new hair and new nails.Pros + Excellent skills and eye for detail and balance.Cons – None that I can think of.
I just got back from this spa. I took my parents with me – my dad had a hot stone massage and my mom had the Clean as a Whistle facial, just like I did. We all loved the services we received. The staff is very professional and accommodating. What I loved most is that Kira was very thorough when performing the extractions during my facial – and at the same time didn’t leave me looking like someone had beat me up! There was some redness here and there, but it wasn’t bad. I’ve been to places where I didn’t want to leave after a facial because I’ve been left very red and swollen! Kira was great though. Another thing I liked is that she wasn’t constantly recommending products – she recommended two services at the beginning of my facial, and after I politely declined she proceeded to do a wonderful job and knew exactly when to ask me how I was doing. In my line of work (ad sales), I frequent many spas in New York with clients and I was so pleased with my recent appointments at Silk. My colleague and I took a small group of clients to Silk to treat them and I was blown away at how easy the staff at Silk made it for us. Upon arrival, the friendly staff took over and made sure that we were as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The beautiful locker room and “relaxation area” really made an impression on my clients and the therapist were ?out of this world” as one client put it. We had a caterer deliver a few small treats to enjoy after our service and the staff took care of everything and set up a beautiful display for us while we were in our treatments. It’s obvious they’ve definitely done this before and are very comfortable with accommodating groups. Polished Beauty Bar is my favorite Upper West Side nail salon! They also offer massage and facials, but I usually just go for my weekly manicure and pedicure! They do an excellent job and really take their time with you. The pedicure massage chairs are wonderful and I always look forward to relaxing there when Im getting my nails done. You should definitely stop by here if you want a reasonably priced, beautiful nail treatment!Pros + beautiful nailsCons – none
