Where is the Best Nail Salon in Nashville, Tennessee?
I took my elderly mother to Bodyworks Emporium for a partial day spa package a few months ago. She’d never been to a spa before (I’ve been to a ton) but she was extremely nervous. From the moment we walked in the door she started to immediately relax. The lady at the front that greeted us was so caring and kind and we were just getting started. The therapists that took care of us genuinely cared about how we felt throughout our treatments and afterwards. It didn’t just feel like we were being pampered, my mother and I both agreed, it felt like we’d been given true physical therapy is every sense of the word! We enjoyed lunch by candlelight in the “mind spa” in between our services and it was great. We plan to go back every year for a mom and daughter day, but my mother has been going back every 3 weeks for massage and reflexology and has seen her blood pressure drop and she has more energy than I’ve seen in years! This salon is my FAVORITE salon in Nashville Period! From the moment you walk into the salon you will notice that the atmosphere is very inviting. It feels like you are in a neatly placed nest perched high above green hills. Lots of natural light and elements surround you during your experience. They have excellent taste in decor and music. Plus you have amazing seasoned professional stylists with positive attitudes that surround you. Also I love the fact that Julie the owner always takes the time to stop and say hello. She always has a smile on her face. Not to mention I LOVE the Paul Mitchell Products they use. Oh and lets not forget the amazing rinsing bowls. WOW! After having my hair worked with for many many years the first thing I noticed was the head rest inside the rinsing bowls. This is really a jewel if you tend to have a sore neck / shoulders like I do. You can actually relax while getting your hair washed or colored. What a concept!!! LOVE it. Be sure to ask
In the past, I’ve had great cuts, great color, and great styling (and I’ve also had really horrible experiences in all categories), but never before all at once. Larry brings it all together in one stunning package! I love going to have my hair done–no pressure, nothing but fun, relaxation, and a great look when I walk out the door. He always listens to what I want, and he always delivers. My hair looks great right after I leave, because he’s one of the only hairstylists who have been able to satisfactorily style my hair (my hair has natural wave and is very hard to style with a blowdryer). My hair also looks great two weeks later, four weeks later, and two months later, regardless of the fact that it grows out, because it’s such a great cut. I haven’t been to a salon in years because a) my least favorite thing to do in the world is look at myself in the mirror, and you’re surrounded by mirrors in a beauty salon, and 2) I always get some petite girl who doesn’t make conversation and doesn’t take her eyes off me for a second, as if she’s forming some opinion of me – that I’m pathetic, I have no doubt. Why can’t I ever get the obligatory fun-spirited gay guy whooping it up about Broadway shows and designing a new house with his partner ? He was across from me going a mile a minute and doing a little jig with each comb stroke on the head of a lady obviously on cloud 9. I didn’t think my hair was much better than a job I could have done on myself – I should emphasize I only paid for a $25 cut. I wasn’t sure exactly when the girl was finished – I was waiting for her to recommend some shampoo or something, so I had to ask for advice.
