Where is the Best Nail Salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
I have been to LiteSpa several times for bikini waxes. The first few times that I went I was very happy with the service, the waxer was very professional and made me feel comfortable in a normally uncomfortable and painful situation. She also did a very good job. However, the last two times that I went in I had a different waxer, I’m not sure if the other woman left or was just unavailable, but I couldn’t get an appointment with her even upon request. The new waxer was okay, but she did a horrible job. She didn’t remove all the wax and I was picking little bits off myself for the rest of the day (extremely painful!), and she didn’t remove all the hair. It looked awful. The next time that I ended up with her, I told her I wanted her I wasn’t happy the first time, and although she got all the wax this time, she didn’t do a complete job and I was left will a lot of stray hairs. As a first time client, service was great. I made an appt. with one day’s notice for a mani/pedi. Sue did my nails and was wonderful. After a long week of work, she allowed to sit back and enjoy the service without a bunch of chit-chat. I left feeling rejuvenated and pampered. The atmosphere is everything an urban spa should be. Go after dusk. The low lights of the spa and twinkle of Grand Ave. businesses through the windows makes for a unique after-work indulgence.Pros + atmosphere, professional, last minute appts.Cons – a little pricey, parking
I have been going to the Day Spa since I was in high school, and have always felt right at home. The front desk is always friendly, helpful and makes me feel like I am a valuable customer. The employees there, whether it be for nail or waxing services, are personable and reliable. They are very knowledgeable and willing to ask any questions. Lately they seem to be re-designing and renovating, but it looks wonderful each time I arrive, and the changes are fantastic! I especially enjoy their new makeup area, and if you go on the weekend there is a make-up artist there to give you a free makeover and answer any questions. I believe her name is Lynn or Linda…she is a doll!!
This was my first visit to Accolades and after doing a lot of searching on Citysearch and Yelp, I figured that all the good reviews had to mean something. Upon arriving, I was greeted and offered an espresso which I gladly enjoyed while I waited (I arrived 20 minutes early). I had an appointment with David, and he exceeded my expectations. I have always had dirty/darker blonde hair, but since it has gotten even darker in recent years, I decided to do something different with this color. I was very apprehensive, but after talking with David about what hair color would be right for me, we decided to go brunette. While I was very nervous, I am glad I trusted David’s advice, because I love the new color! David is extremely knowledgable and down to earth, and he even threw in a free chair/foot bath massage, and facial! All that with my full hair color was only $79! This was a total steal, and I am so pleased with Accolades & David that I am ditching my old hairstylist and coming here from n
Laura was fantastic. She was extremely consultative and helpful with her suggestions. She explained the dry curly cut process as she went and the day-to-day techinique. I’m very low maintenance and rolled my eyes at the suggestion of all the scrunching and such. But I figured I’d give it a go. This is about the first time in my 41 years that I’ve been really excited about a cut. My hair now curls the way I’ve admired others’ curls for years! I had no idea my hair could look like it does. The curls are smooth and defined. Even my ultra unobservant husband complimented me. And this is the next day, when I did it, not the stylist. (The scrunching, et al process Laura assured me wouldn’t be that big of a deal really isn’t that big of a deal.
