Spa LaLa is right near my house,I noticed they had recently opened &were offering 20% off so I stopped in. They carry a skin care line I have never seen anywhere else. I am sort of a spa snob,I have used just about every line You can imagine & have had facials & massages in almost every spa in Chicago,so I had to try it out. Deidre gave me my facial & it was awesome, totally got my moneys worth. It was very unique,I have never had a facial like this before. During the facial she also gave me a foot treatment with real seaweed. My massage was the best I’ve ever had, rather then just picking a massage from the menu,my therapist,Leo, talked to me about what I wanted, what needed extra attention, etc.etc. & pretty much customized my massage. I will most definately be back. In addition to loving my services, the staff & vibe of the spa all together was really nice, not at all pretentious, which is always something I look for.Pros + the staff was very down to earth,I was really comfortable

I’ve been going to paint for about a year and really like Julie. She does a great job waxing and is extremely friendly. I also have had a couple of mani/pedis there an enjoy those as well. I’ve had different people and haven’t gotten there names, but my manicures last up to 5 days and my pedicures always look nice. I would recommend Julie to anyone. Pros + Right next to the El, Friendly Staff, Good PricesCons – None that I can come up with – I walk here so I’m not sure about street parking.

After going for a few years to another salon in Chicago for my extensions, I got tired of the extensionist always rushing through our consults (once he even just chose my colors over the phone without having seen me in months — what a disaster!) him being in a bad mood, never bothering to style my extensions (he’d just put them in and chop them to the length I wanted) telling me if I was 5 minutes late I’d ruin his entire day, etc. etc. so I researched where else I could go to have Great Lengths put in. I am SOOOO happy I did. I went to Badri at Anna George and upon our first meeting I couldn’t help but adore her. So sweet, professional and assuring! She took her time matching my colors, asking me about what “look” I was hoping to achieve and not once did I feel a pressure sell. So I booked my appointment and honestly, she far exceeded my expectations!! After hearing that the other extensionist I went to was “the best in Chicago”, I can truthfully (and ecstatically) say that Ba

I have been going to Parto’s since January (2007). The staff is friendly, they greet you at the door, offer you beverages, and if you are there on Saturdays, they cater in breakfast which is a bonus.Steven Deer is my stylist and in my experience, most stylist are stronger in some areas but not others. I can honestly say though that whether your hair is long or short and regardless of the texture, he is artistic, precise, a color guru, and a perfectionist. His versatility makes him a true master at what he does, I have seen him style anything from long shoulder length hair to a short spiky mohawk. He listens, gives his feedback on what looks best for you but his ultimate goal is to please his clients. I would highly recommend him….Pros + Downtown Location – Easy to get to after work
