Where is the Best Nail Salon in Austin, Texas?
Prior to being a loyal customer at this sweet salon for several months, i had my good and bad experiences at close to two dozens salon in town. But this one has me holding a 5-star rating at a heart beat. They greet me by name, know my polish choice and even recognize my voice on the phone whenever i call in for appointment. I had my trials on gel nails for 3 months, then switched to pink and white acrylic for a couple of month, and now back to gel nails. I am satisfied at both choices. i like the shininess from the gel, and the toughness from the acrylic. I like the fact that every technician i have had so far has been very attentive and skillful. One may file faster than the other, but they are all great. Their tools, their files, their tables are clean and neat. They are cheerful and fun to chat with. So, yeah, it’s defintely a great place to get my beauty treatments done with a sure satisfaction.Pros + Ambience, quality products, great prices, service
No, I wasn’t offered refreshments (but they do have a water dispenser) and by appearances it is a nice nail salon, but nothing fancy. I am extremely picky about my nails, however, and they do an incredible job! When my mom comes to visit she insists on going here because their pedicures are a step above what she gets in Houston. She has issues with her toes. They have several options for their spa pedicure, which is nice! I like the parafin wax. I have solar nails and will drive 20 min to get them done there because they do a great job. As for nails colors, they have quite a variety, some “expensive brand names” to others that I don’t know. Either way, I have never had any paint chip off of a pedicure done there within the first 4 weeks!
I followed Melissa as her client from her previous salon. She has been the MOST wonderful stylist and colorist I have ever had. I get comments and questions weekly about my cut and color. She makes me look and feel younger, and I’m truly comfortable with my hair. Every time I’ve asked for a change, she encourages me, and helps me find just what I’m looking for. She knows my preferences, but what’s more, she knows me. She remembers what we talk about, asks about my family, etc. and keeps up with my life. It’s a rare thing, but after years of going to Melissa, she probably knows me better than most of my friends. I LOVE MELISSA!The rest of the staff are awesome too! They always know my name, are friendly and helpful. And I love getting my hair washed! They massage my neck and head…OMG! I’d go there just for that! I was referred to Michele by a friend, who has been seeing her for years. She told me that I would love the vibe of Michele’s cozy space. Michele was ridiculously understanding of my unpredictable schedule, and accomodated my need for mani/pedi rescue in a jif! Her space is just my ideal… intimate, cozy, professional, friendly. I felt like I was spending the afternoon with a good friend, sipping hot tea (she made mine PERFECTLY), and it was our first meeting! She told me she was having a swing installed on her salon’s patio the next day, and how do I wish I could be there all day with her. My tired hands have never looked or felt so good, and my feet? My feet no longer look anything like Fred Flintstone’s. Michele is so professional, so real, so intelligent and informed. I only recommend her to my clients, and I can’t imagine ever having to go anywhere else. In an effort to make me happy, the schedulers often ask me when I would like to come and somehow make it happen at the last minute. This translates to some pretty tense and rushed staff members trying to get me through an already full schedule. I wish they front desk would be more realistic and say, “Hey, we are full, come in next week”. I could easily handle that.The ultimate result, though was that my color and cut looked great..but I felt sort of “violated” by the rush rush of the service and the fast intense energy of the colorist and stylist.
