Where is the Best Mover in Seattle, Washington?
I approached the task of finding a mover with more than a little hesitation. My past experience with movers was, to say the least, not so great. From the first call to Express Movers, my expectations began to shift. The gentleman I originally spoke with, Dave or Dan (?), was wonderful. Since I work in the customer service industry, I am probably a little more sensitive to this issue, so I can honestly say, his customer service skills were so far above and beyond the norm these days! He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He had a nice mix of calm and confidence, along with a great sense of humour that put me at ease instantly. After explaining the entire process and gathering my move information, he gave me a quote right then with a couple different options. I called this moving company after another company I had scheduled on a Saturday did not show. Amed was polite on the phone, and was able to schedule my office move on a Sunday morning at the last minute. He and his worker were very nice and helpful. They took the office desks apart, put them back together at the new location and repaired some additional bookcases that were constructed improperly through no fault of their own. They were ontime, fast and right on target with their quote. I will use them again.
We used U-Save Moving to move just a few blocks and overall the move went smoothly. The drivers were on time in the morning and had a good attitude. U-Save also provided a packer, who did a pretty good job and was fairly inexpensive. We were moved in within a few hours, with (tricky Ikea) furniture reassembled. We did have some damage done to our piano, which had several scratches on it. We had asked on the phone if they move pianos, and were advised to use a professional piano moving company–but when we asked the movers themselves, they decided to do it. The owner was understandably upset about the situation, and even though he felt some of the responsibility lay with us, after much discussion, he paid for the piano to be fixed (one side was refinished) and delivered it to our home personally. In other words, even though he didn’t feel he was wrong, U-Save ended up following through. That’s why, in the end, I’d still recommend U-Save for the general quality, price and custome
A & R Movers came through for me at the very last minute, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. My original mover: Jay @ Emove USA did not show up, and I was left with an apartment full of furniture and no way to move it. I began calling around, and the wonderful receptionist at A & R found me a truck and 2 movers for the very same day. She kept me informed, and let me know exactly when they would arrive at my house. The price was reasonable for such last minute service, and I was amazed by the speed and efficiency in which the two gentlemen moved everything – nothing was damaged or broken, and I felt completely confident leaving them to do their job without my supervision.
