I had a bad experience moving a few years ago and viewed movers as a necessary evil. He restored my faith in the business. Not ALL movers are out to steal your stuff. But do remember to tip them at least 20%. These guys work really hard and work for tips. And don’t forget to offer them a drink. They’re people too. My move went flawlessly. This service should be called STARVING PRISON WORK-FURLOUGH DUDES not STARVING STUDENTS. The guys that came to my house to move me were pretty rude and didn’t act as though they were actually getting paid for their services. They looked like they may have come from a work-furlough program, which is fine – i mean, good for them – but it was not what i was expecting. When I called the service to make an appointment, the gentleman on the other end of the line was extremely courteous and professional which was very misleading… so you can imagine my surprise when the prison dudes came knocking on my door. The minimum charge for this service is two hours. I honestly thought it would take less than two hours since, one: i was moving down the street, and two: the only furniture i had was a bed, dresser and 27 inch t.v. I was more than willing to pay for the full two hours regardless but as i waited for these guys to show up at my new place, I realized after hour number two that they were goi
4 years ago, i moved to West Hollywood, and thought i was being smart by counting my pennies and rent a u haul truck. I had a few friends helping me with my two bedroom apartment, and the move took from 9am till after midnight. The next morning i had to skip work as my whole body was sore. i promised myself i would never move again. Well 2 weeks ago i had to make a decision on a move, and my boss told me to choose a moving compamy carefully as she had a very bad experience. Somebody in our office told me to call Remington movers, so i did. I spoke to the lady doing the bookings, and there is where it all started. She is the most personable, delightfull and helpful person you could ever have dealings with, and her acsent absolutely sealed it for me! 3 movers came, the foreman named Graham was very charming and well mannered, and so were the the rest of his crew.
