Where is the Best Mover in Boston, Massachusetts?
These guys were the most efficient and effective movers I have ever dealt with. They swiftly and carefully moved all of our things in and out. The estimate came in slightly below the quoted price. The movers were friendly and proactive in making sure every thing got to the right place. You wouldn’t expect guys being paid by the hour to finish in less than the estimated time but they did. The CEO even contacted me to see how my moving experience was. WOW! I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. This moving company was pretty good. There were two movers that were incredibly professional. The third was pretty chatty and kept wanting to take breaks. They also cracked my bed (which I found out later after they’d already left). I rated them fair on value because the whole job took about 3.5 hours from start to finish (including travel time). They charged us 3.5 hours of labor plus an extra hour for travel time. Seems like a strange way to calculate a price since they aren’t even doing any moving during the travel time and they get to charge you for it twice. Other than that, I was very happy with the job they did.
I recently moved from New York. The moving company that I used (Atlas) told me that the charge for them to pull permits would be $280. I really lucked out by finding permit puller. The charge was below 1/3 of the charge that I was quoted from Atlas, and the service was teriffic. I received a permit within 2 hours of submitting a application form, and the signs were posted well within the city guidelines.Also – on the day of my move, there was a contractor parked in my loading zone. A permit puller representative just so happened to be posting a sign for a move later in the week. He was nice enough to inform the contrator that he needed to move, and did not leave until he did in fact move.I couldn’t be happier with the service.
Pros:(1) The guy that answers might phone call was quite patient and seemed to be professional. Called on Friday to schedule a move on the next day and the response was quite promptly.(2) Movers are quick and efficientCons:(1) When I called them the first time we agreed to have the movers come by 3 pm but then after I paid the deposit (telling them the credit card #) and faxed back the signed service order form, they sent another one via email that changed the original 2-hour arrival window to a four-hour one, and starting from 3 PM ~ 6 PM. Later I found out they got a bigger order of the same day and they just postponed mine without calling me. They ended up arrived at almost 6 PM.(2) During our first phone call they agreed to waive the floor charge, but the movers tried to charge it. Great Movers. I had moved with them from Boston to NY and everything went smoothly. The movers were great, Polite, even funny and the guys in the office provided us with an excellent customer service (didn’t really expect that from a moving company…) and helped us a lot before and during the move. Would give them 10 out of 10
