Where is the Best Morning-After Brunch in San Diego, California?
They have great happy hour specials, but if you are in the mood to spend just a little more, I would try to get a seat by the patio area, overlooking the ocean. Get some of the appetizers, my favorites are the lobster bisque and the crusted brie. A couple of cocktails to relax by the beach front scenery. Sometimes the service is not the greatest, but I try not to let that bother me, after all I am having a drink by the beach. Kinda of thing that some of us are eager to! Then after the lovely sunset, you can enjoy a walk along the boardwalk all the way to the pier! We all need to enjoy life a little more…
One of the first breakfast places I started going to in San Diego. This place is always packed on weekends so be prepared to wait for awhile or go early in the morning. (Unlikely if you are like me and likely sleeping off a hangover) But if you do stumble there in the late morning, there is free coffee while you wait- and it’s worth the wait! This place specializes in Asian/Latin/Californian Cuisine and it’s GOOD! Favorite two breakfasts: the Zen Breakfast if I am trying to be healthy, which is egg whites, tofu with terriyaki sauce, brown rice, and lightly grilled veggies…….If I don’t care about being healthy then the Breakfast Croissant is the way to go: a croissant sandwich stuffed with eggs, cream cheese, avocado, and bacon. Other things that are great here: their shakes; any and all o

We celebrated my friend’s birthday, 5 of us ladies. We had a reservation on a Sunday @1pm. No parking meter to pay that day!! We had the best table in the house, by the french doors in a darling nook. Our waiter was incredibly handsome with the bluest eyes. He just kept on entrancing us with those ogles. He could have served me anything. I finally ordered the ‘steack & frites’, going against my original idea of the famous macaroni. Boy, was I happy!! Having lived in Paris for 4 years, I can invariably say that I felt like I was right back there in any Parisian neighborhood bistro. That was the best feeling of all. The steak was succulent, just the right size for lunch & the frites were the real ‘French fries’ we seem to want to hate these days. Afterwhich, the delectable and moist bread pudding was shared among all 5 of us . I’m st
