Where is the Best Morning-After Brunch in Houston, Texas?
When i walked in i realized it was an actual lodge built in the 1850’s or around that time. There was a river next to it and looked very old timely looking. The food was great in taste and style. The salad looked so beautiful i didn’t want to eat it! This place is sort of pricey, but worth the money. The only down side is the size of the portions. But don’t let it throw you off. ENJOY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Pros + Food and atmosphere was sweet!!!!Cons – Size of mealz 🙁
Been here a few times over the years, finally got around to reviewing it. I keep coming back because the food is consistently good and I love the atmosphere. It is a charming cafe with a lovely patio area, great place for a date or family gatherings. My husband loves it because they have good wines.Speaking (or writing rather) of families, they do have a decent kids menu with approximately 10 food items to choose from.Service is always excellent here, everyone’s friendly and attentive. My only complaint would be parking. The limited parking area they have is strictly for valet. You can park on the street a block away but watch out for the parking signs.Pros + Good food and good wineCons – Parking
The service was good and they have a small patio out front that is good for nice days. The menu has a lot of variety for vegetarians and/or health conscious eaters. The guacamole and chips appetizer was a good start. The guacamole was above average, the chips and salsa were fresh too. The rotisserie chicken was fantastic! It came with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. The gumbo was very good too if you’re okay with beans. It has a more authentic taste to it so start off with a cup if you’re unsure. I hear most everything on the menu is good and the Sunday brunch is a must have. Definitely plan on coming back.Pros + price, service, food, variety of foods to try, ambience (indoor patio)Cons – none. far, if you don’t live around montrose area.
Waffling means to go back and forth…yeah, to the waffle station at Quattro. If you have a fat wallet and you are devout fan of National Waffle Day, you can’t go wrong with the Four Seasons’ brunch.Simple, warm maple syrup over a fresh, toasty mini waffle, makes one forget about filling up with overly-decorated waffles, bland pancakes, or heavy bagels from the regular breakfast greasy-spoons. Create each mini waffle with different fruit and fresh whipped cream for dessert, and order your coffee black to contrast the tastes. Kids can also order Belgian waffles with warm maple syrup from the children’s menu. The Four Seasons is known for their best brunch in any city, but I would only go here if I were splurging for Thanksgiving or Christmas to experience their lavish decorations and taste a variation of gourmet versions of traditional dishes. Brunch during the holidays is close to $80 per person and close to $30 for kids. Hopefully, you have a small family with a big appetite.
