Where is the Best Mojito in New York, New York?
I was at this bar last night and I think I know what group the last reviewer refers to… They were holding four tables and ordering water. Would it break you to order at least a soda? This bar has some of the best prices in the city and a friendly cool staff. I am a regular at this bar and if you order drinks there is no problem, but if your not spending and people are WAITING for a table(as my friends and I were because you were holding space and not ordering) … hang at home and don’t ruin the great vibe. Other bars in the area will cost you more for sure. MY FAVORITE BAR! BEST STAFF. You can’t get more for your buck in this city. People are amazing sometimes…Pros + Great staff. Good vibe. I went out with a friend on Friday night and we were looking for a place to grab a few drinks. Somehow we ended up walking by Las Chicas Locas and neither of us had ever heard of it before, but it had a nice sign and looked promising. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the lounge area, which had really comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Margaritas are always my drink of choice, so I ordered a regular and my friend tried the blushing chica–they were both AMAZING. The regular margarita was perfect (have it without salt!) and had no sour mix filler–it was full of fresh lime and not too sweet. The blushing chica was new to both of us, but had its own distinctive flavor and sweetness. It was like a mix between a margarita and a cosmo martini and it was awesome. I highly recommend this place for the margaritas and can’t wait to go back to try the food! Pros + Margaritas
Re: Justthoughtyoushouldknow’s comment: I happened to be there that night, and the account is biased, and lacking a few details.The conversation with the mgr did start out calmly, but when the 3 realized that they would not be served, man 2 started yelling into the mgr’s face. Yes, the mgr is a short, small framed woman, and these two men were getting upset and loud with her. At this point, the taller of the two men started to push/throw chairs around, yell, act violently, hurl slurs and encourage a fight. Of course this prompted the shorter man to act in kind. This is when the male staff member (who kept his distance from both men), the bartender, and two other guests who were sitting at the bar, ALL went to stand with the mgr in support. FINALLY after much yelling from the 2 men and the wife, they left the bar. Then the wife proceeded to kick the front door until she cracked the glass (one of the patrons took a photo of her with his phone), all the while screaming “I work at t
I was there last Wednesday for Karaoke for my friends birthday. We had a blast singing Karaoke in the lounge. We had the best homemade infused vokas..YUMMY..the pineapple and the verry berry were delicious. also had the beef sliders, veggie skewers and homemade potatoe chips all delicious. Very surprised to find good food in a bar. Just when we were tired of singing went down to the Village Underground and enjoyed the live music, amazing singers. Loved the old school reggae and disco that the girls sang. also loved how the band mixed the old and the new, mixed rock with the hip-hop. the band was having so much fun on stage that we stayed the entire night – didnt want to miss a thing.
