I came to 49 Grove a few weeks ago just to check it out and maybe have some drinks, but as the night passed along a few of my friends and I decided to buy a bottle. From the moment we got seated until the moment we paid the bill we has a really fun time. The waitress was tall and blonde and she was constantly checking in with us, making sure we had everything that we needed. The bottle prices we very reasonable. Later on in the evening we had some more of out friends arrive, the doorman let them in with no cover and no problems. We have gotten bottle service at a few venues now and I must say that 49 Grove will be a venue that we visit again. The DJ was amazing and eventhough we got a few drinks spilled on us by the bachelorette party seated beside us, we had a great time watching them dance. 49 Grove is a great venue to come and have drinks with a few friends, but seems like you could have a really good time if you had a birthday party here. There is a great VIP area secluded from the

I just went out on a date in this little lounge bar the other night. It was beautiful. The lighting, the furniture, the atmosphere. Its small enough to be comfy, but roomy enough to be luxurious. The service was pleasant and quick. It was a great place for a first date. The only complaint I have was the bathroom was a little dirty. I realize that that is pretty common all over New York, so it wasn’t that big of a deal. It won’t stop me from coming back to this place. I really loved it. Pros + decor and serviceCons – bathroom

~~Super busy, nice place to hang out, too overprice, great lasagna.~~I went there to have my valentine dinner and made reservation couple weeks before. Got worse table even I did request outside winter garden table… My table was very noisy… because next to waiter station. The overall food is ok, not too bad, not great as I expect. $ 45/ person, I expected more than that. Must try their lasagna and coffee, great cappucino….. Friendly hostess (maybe the owner) which always make smile us. Waiting line for restroom. The service ?, the server Sebastian always smile, introduce some wine, even we reject it. Please remember, it is caffe, don’t expect star restaurant service even with that price. He did not rush us, did not forget to fill up our water, comfort us with his personal touch. If you have extra money ?, come over… again, don’t expect more than a “overprice” caffetaria. Don’t make it for your first date or first important place, try One if by the land, two if by the sea… i

On his final Tonight Show appearance, Conan earnestly urged us not to be cynical people. I’m from NY and I love sports. It ain’t easy. After years of vying for the “best spot” to watch TV in a bar, getting neck cramps when I don’t, and eating rubbery burgers while watching fuzzy players on non-HD turf, I was ready to give up. Or settle. Then we found Bar 12. My fianc? and I centered our engagement party around the Jets-Colts AFC Championship Game because we met watching the Giants kick Green Bay arse in 2007. Eric, the manager, may just be invited to our wedding now. I also thought I’d never be able to throw an affordable party where everyone would be able to eat and drink and have “feels like we’re in college again!” F-U-N, but the staff @ Bar 12 made it happen. Sad that the Jets lost, but we still had such a great time that some of us ended up hanging out right through the Saints-Vikings game. So now to the meat of it – I worked in a restaurant for 2 years and have been

I usually don’t write positive reviews online. In fact, I admittedly use sites like this to rant about the terrible state of manhattan nightlife. However, sometimes I come across a place that renews my faith in this city that I have a love/hate relationship with. Anchor is one of those places. We called ahead last friday, expecting it to be dead like most places the week after new years, and they said they could accommodate us. accommodate us? understatement of the decade. Me and my girls got there and were immediately ushered into the most amazing shitshow/party I’ve seen in some time. DJ Price (one of my fav DJs!) was rocking a packed room of beautiful people. We were able to grab a table with ease and ended up turning out Anchor until four in the morning. I won’t reveal what transpired throughout the evening, however I do recommend this place to anyone looking for a taste of real NYC. The music, the staff, and the whole place in general, was just stellar- I will 100% be back here an
