This was the first time I’ve ever eaten a proper Burrito (In England they always served with gravy or something dumb) and I was very impressed indeed. I had only been in the country for a day or so and was really struggling to come to terms with the shocking cold weather, but a burrito from this put some warmth in my belly that made all the difference when I stepped back out into the blasting Rhode Island chill! Behind the till there was a drawing by a local cartoonist giving thanks and praise to Gordito, which in my book is high praise indeed, in fact I’m sure it was a drawing by Alec Longstreth from Phase 7 comics, but I could be wrong! I loved this meal, in fact it was probably the best fast food I had for my entire time in New England. I’m going back in September and I can’t wait for my next Gordito meal!Pros + Friendly staffCons – Slightly icky toilets
Relatively fast service, but not very authentic food. Moderately priced and varied menu offers diners quite a bit to choose from. Also serving COLD beers, which is a plus. Better to eat it in than get take-out. This food does not travel well! Another major drawback in getting it to go, they usually screw up your order. Check it before you leave!Having been to this location about 15 times, I have to give it an overall 2.5 stars. Theres a reason the Taco Bell right next door still does a brisk business…..Pros + Pretty neat, clean interior, ice cold beers, free homemade salsa & chips.Cons – Food not very authentic, afraid to apply the heat I think.
