Don’t get there very often, but have always found the food and service above average. Several of the servers enjoy joking with customers, which is a change from the overly-familiar or overly-stuffy folk at other restaurants.

This restaurant was just around the corner from where I was staying, so I thought I would try it out. It was great! Food was good, service was fast, and the Salsa was worth going back for. Reasonably priced, too. It will be on my list of places to return to …

This is a great mexican restaurant… definitely a step up from on the border restaurant. Margaritas very good!! I would highly recommend the salmon on the menu… nachos and fajitas only fair.

I went to this site before lunch & should have left a rating then….I went to lunch & it was the most awful ever. I have been going to El Mezcal for 10 years & never had a complaint till today. The food has always been great and the service too. They recognize me when I come in most of the time. It has been a few months since I’ve eaten there. (My boyfriend doesn’t like Mexican)I ordered a taco salad w/beef tips. Told the waitress three times what I wanted. I got a taco pool w/ground beef. There were not very many beans unless the pool of liquid was the beans. There was hardly any lettuce & the sour cream & guacamole was mixed in the liquid pool. It was like a crunchy bowl of liquid mush. I have raved about this restaurant in the 10 years I have been going to it. Now I feel really disappointed. The drinks have always been very good also…I’m glad i didn’t order one today.
