Where is the Best Mexican Food in Dallas, Texas?
Visiting from OKC having just come from the OU-Texas Red River Shootout. Was great environment, atmosphere and the Texas fans were doing there best not to rub it in. Had to frozen Margaritas during our brief 20 minute wait. Fish Tacos are a must. Guacamole might have been even better than my own receipe. Chimichanga and crab enchiladas were our entrees which were generous, temp great and taste well worth the wait. Had two more drinks at table during meal. Service was very prompt. Only negative thing was Chimicahanga – ordered beef and received chicken instead…was still grat.Pros + Food and drinksCons – None….noise level high but was after the big game.
This is one of my favorite places for Tex-Mex and regional Mexican cuisine. Abuelo’s has a plethora of fine menu selections and some items you won’t find anywhere else. I’ve had the best spinach enchiladas ever at this place, with a great salsa de creme. The chips are always warm and very tasty, and the accompanying hot sauce is more than decent. They’ve also got fantastic nachos and fajitas with lots of sizzle. Wash it all down with a great, fresh-brewed iced tea. I’ve even taken dates to this place and it is great for those occasions. If you like great food from south of the border and great service, don’t miss this place! Pros + Abundant food selections, great service, no waiting, chips galoreCons – Nothing apparent
I too was disappointed that the Frisco location closed. I live in the area so it was very convenient on the weekends to get my Brisket Taco fix. Oh well there is still Addison & Uptown (worth the drive).I feel sorry for the person who said they would never go to another Manny’s because of the way the Frisco location was closed. Sometimes things happen! You truly dont know what your missing. By far the best “Authentic Mexican Food” in the Metroplex Hands Down. Pros + Authentic Mexican Food, Reasonable Prices, Friendly waitstaffCons – A bit of a drive for those of us further North
We are from Houston and eat a log of tex-mex food but this has to be the best. The atmosphere is calming and the food is great. The service is 5 STAR ask for Rocky (very attentive waiter). The Margaritas will knock your socks off especially the Banana. We are here for 3 days and believe me we will be returning. We were at a peak serving time and within 7 minutes from order we had our food. yummm yumm. We would defiantly recommend Luna de Noche to friends and family. I sure hope the owner would consider opening up one in Houston (and believe me it would expand to more than one).To summarize this up —- Its the best of the best.
If you’re looking for a place to drink margaritas and hang out on a massive patio with a cool atmosphere…Joe T. Garcia’s is the place, but the food is horrible! You basically get two choices if you go during the evening…fajita’s or the family-style dinner. The family dinner is nothing but some tiny cheap tacos, cheese enchiladas, and cheese nachos…the latter two using what could best be described as tasting like some of that jarred processed cheese sauce you can buy at the supermarket. You also get the standard fare of chips and salsa. Food is extremely bland and not worth the money. Stay away if you’re hungry!
