I have had almost too many people comment on how beautiful my face is with the hair style … and that is TRUE. He has people flying from all over the world to see him. He is modest but once at work on your hair he is AT THE TOP OF THE LINE on any salon. Great staff. Good time. No worries …except for parking. If you are visiting San Francisco take a cab and he will call a cab for you to pick up. Extremely cool!!! DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT….
I am a massage therapist in The City and have my own practice. It is imperative that I receive bodywork on a weekly basis. It was late afternoon one day last month and I really needed a good, deep massage so I called Nickel for the first time and made an appointment, last minute. They got me in for an hour an a half massage. I walked in and really didn’t know what to expect. You know a spa for men in the castro….well I was really surprised to see how clean and cool the place was. I had no idea of all the services they offer. I had the shower and steam room to myself, I was shocked. A place this nice and no one there. Then right when I was done and in my robe, out walked Jordie. He was present, kind and made eye contact. I could tell right then that I was going to get a great massage. I was amazed at how big the place was. It has like 8 or so treatment rooms. Jordie takes me to the room and away we go. If I could live at La Belle Day Spa, I would pack my bags immediately and head straight there. This full service spa features services such as massages, mani/pedis, haircuts, facials and even clinical procedures; talk about your one stop shop! The atmosphere is so relaxing in this small but luxurious spa, that you forget you are in the heart of Union Square. At $25 for a manicure and $50 for a pedicure this place is a little pricey for your regular upkeep, but everyone needs to treat themselves (or others) once in a while and La Belle is the perfect place to do so.
In general I don’t like spas because it’s so hard to get quality and cleanliness rather than all of the dumb bells and whistles that are so appealing to the inexperienced.
