Where is the Best Martini in New York, New York?
~~Super busy, nice place to hang out, too overprice, great lasagna.~~I went there to have my valentine dinner and made reservation couple weeks before. Got worse table even I did request outside winter garden table… My table was very noisy… because next to waiter station. The overall food is ok, not too bad, not great as I expect. $ 45/ person, I expected more than that. Must try their lasagna and coffee, great cappucino….. Friendly hostess (maybe the owner) which always make smile us. Waiting line for restroom. The service ?, the server Sebastian always smile, introduce some wine, even we reject it. Please remember, it is caffe, don’t expect star restaurant service even with that price. He did not rush us, did not forget to fill up our water, comfort us with his personal touch.If you have extra money ?, come over… again, don’t expect more than a “overprice” caffetaria. Don’t make it for your first date or first important place, try One if by the land, two if by the sea… i
Thats it! No more Mr. Nice Guy. I’m sick and tired of any moron having the ability to take shots at me and post it online without me firing back or setting the record straight. I am a doorman at a very popular NYC lounge and I can’t stay quiet anymore. For you overgrown babies, the gloves are off. You know who you are. You’re the ones that when I can’t let you in, you become a cranky two year old with diaper rash. What’s up with that? Why do you take it so personal? Why would I make it personal? I don’t even know you. And from the attitude, I’m glad I don’t. if I can’t let you in, I CAN’T let you in. It has nothing to do with you. If you think it does, maybe you should use your time to work on your self-esteem then to go online to complain and trash others. So thats it. I have decided to give a voice to all the doormen in NYC. For all the doormen that have to bite their lips and just smile at the multitude of asses that pass through their doors or that don’t pass through. Don’t get me
The best Martini’s in Town, particularly the Key Lime Martini. The atmosphere is just very chill, and the bartenders/waitresses are very helpful and nice. I’m part of a weekly Wednesday drinking group of 30 or so regulars who love to drink, geek out, talk and eat after work. We check out a different bar each week. We’ve been kicking around the city for 12 years. In that time we’ve visited several hundred bars (with repeats of faves). We visited Shebeen recently and were pleasantly surprised. It felt like we were hanging out in someone’s living room. We sat by the window facing the sidewalk. We were on display for passersby, but we weren’t concerned too much since we knew our Big Brother experience was fleeting. The cocktails were worthwhile, the service was good and the space felt cozy.
