Where is the Best Martini in Detroit, Michigan?
I went to Goodnite Gracies for the first time last night, and it’s probably the best bar I’ve been to in ages! Slightly upscale, but not “snooty”. It’s not a dance club, but more of a lounge type atompshere with great music (a lot of dance remixes) the DJ was AWESOME.. As far as drink prices go, I paid $9 for a Cosmo, but I think that’s about average for a drink like that, and it was VERY well made. No cover charge at this place.. So if your looking for a place to relax and mingle with good friends, this is it! Get there early though… the place get really packed. Pros + Great atmosphereCons – It gets really packed
I love the burgers. I hate the wait, the too close together tables, and no room anywhere at all to stand/sit and wait for a table because its always insanely overcrowded. Not to mention that if you got a table in the bar you are most likely eating your burger with someones rear end in your face. Oh and did I mention the screaming hostess who trolls through the bar endlessly calling out for people who are no longer there because they put their name on the list and then left. Why won’t you please just expand? The burgers are awesome and I crave them. Last time we decided we’d do an early bird special and get there around 5:30pm on a Saturday night so there would not be a long wait. We were so wrong. There was a 75 minute wait and absolutely no where to wait for a table. So we left and ate elsewhere much to my dismay. Pros + Good brew, burger, and fries. Cons – Too long of a wait, too small of a space.
I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like surrounding yourself with superficial people and overpay for average (at best) martinis. The bouncers walk around as if they are secret service agents, apparently to protect the “elite” of this L.A. or New York wannabe crowd. They are extremely rude and serve no purpose that I can see other than to feel powerful with their stupid headsets. Had to wait in a line outside, for which the only purpose appeared to be making this place appear more “exclusive”. My husband and I went to see what all the hype was about and were extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.Pros + NoneCons – Rude bouncers, OVERPRICED, Pretentious
