Where is the Best Martini in Austin, Texas?

I generally go on a Thursday for the discounted Mexican Martinis, which are great! The drinks are always good, the service is very quick, and the food is fresh and inexpensive. For a casual, cheap, relaxing meal – I definitely recommend Jorge’s. So many Austin Mexican restaurants are hard to get into without a long wait and even then you feel like your server is juggling a million things at once – but this is never the case with Jorge’s. I rarely have to wait to be seated, the food is very hot and fresh and well seasoned and the drinks are the best. Pros + mexican martinis, good service, prompt seatingCons – none really

So in the heart of Austin party zone down an alley that looks unclean is the entrance to Speakeasy. You walk in this poorly designed club where you are ushered to walk by the bar in a small cramped place once the club gets going. You see guests from college hipsters, old bikers with ridiculouly long bleached hair (dudes), to the I’m still cool yuppy crowd out before their babysitter time is up.Downstairs is just not very nice and it looks like part is under construction (I hope). You then walk up 3 flights to the roof where a Miami feel starts (so out of place with downstairs). Kind of nice albeit the fans don’t help with the heat at all.Note – get misters. Now.We sat with friends for a party and were moved across the polace to a new seating that opened up….2 chairs to us. Why we listened to the manager I have no idea. They seem young. Our waitress would squeeze up to the table with our special order drink and basically stood with her behind in one person’s face. Uh, hel

One of my friends recently had a bachelor party in Austin. We’re a little older now so decided instead of a vegas style trip to do something a bit more fitting. We stayed at the Driskill for the weekend and although it was a hard weekend, it was nice to come back to stay somewhere clean, quiet and nice. Also, their restaurant downstairs has great hangover breakfast!Pros + clean, quiet, funCons – a bit pricey

My wife and I have driven by this place many times and never knew it was there. We were walking downtown and stumbled on to it and decided to check it out. The restaurant is small and narrow in the front with tables for two, and towards the back opens up for tables with 4 or more guests. It has a very chill eclectic vibe to it but not too trendy. We sampled their baked mussel clams (very good; ask for the spicy version), seaweed salad, and miso soup – all good. I had the 15 piece sashim combo and my wife had the Spicy Tekka Don (spicy sashimi tuna over rice) and split an order of spicy tuna roll. The Spicy Tekka Don was fantastic and very filling – we were very surprised by the portion (enough for two). The sashimi combo was good but not the best Ive had (Musashino). The spicy tuna roll was bland after having the tekka don. Overall the experience was great. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. We have been back since and really enjoy. I would recommend this place for a ca

I found Siver and Stone while driving through downtown Georgetown. Boy am I glad I did! My wife and I went to the top of the building and enjoyed the best view of the N.Austin in the area. Six stories up and a wrap around porch. I plan on going back and watching the fireworks after the Friday Express games. We both shared the mushroom appetizers and each had a glass of wine. They were fantastic! The mood was causual but not too casual. They also had a band that was playing on the patio to help ease you into the weekend. I do plan on going back for brunch on Sunday. If the brunch menue was as tasty as the happy hour bar menue, I will not be disappointed. I strongly suggest goiing. I give it a 5 star rating and I will return! Pros + food, happy hour, view
