Where is the Best Luxury Hotel in Washington, District of Columbia?
The Watergate Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and efficient and I found the accommodations very pleasant. The hotel was within walking distance to other area restaurants and nightclubs, as well as the Potomac River, which was very nice to sit next to and just relax.This hotel made me feel secure: There were staff persons always within the site and valets stationed outside of every major entrance to the hotel. When I asked whether or not it was safe to walk to a nearby restaurant, the front desk clerk assured me that it was a safe area of town and offered to call a cab for me if I preferred. However, he made it very clear that I would be fine walking alone. I walked and I had absolutely no problems.
For our 2 year anniversary, my husband took me to Silver Fox Steakhouse for a romantic dinner. When we got there, they had our table ready for us that was tucked away so we could have a private dinner. The best part was that there was a bouquet of flowers waiting for me on the table! Each course was wonderful, but I especially liked the Creme Brulee for dessert. They also had an impressive selection of fine wines to choose from. Overall, it made for a romantic night that I will never forget! Great for celebrating a special occasion!
The hotel is very well located between DuPond Circle and Downtown. It is within walking distance from monuments, museums, and some cool restaurants/bars.
