Where is the Best Lunch Spot in Portland, Oregon?

This place has the best of both worlds. Lots of traditional flavors, like their amazing fish tacos, red chile enchiladas, and pico salsa. As for Nuevo Latino, Mark Lopez the owner of Baja Grill worked for the Great Chile Guru Mark Miller himself. My personal favorite is the Grilled Chicken Burrito. While it sounds ordinary I assure you their lack of creativity naming this masterpiece was all saved up for the actual culinary talent that created such an incredible burrito. Inside the burrito they use citrus marinated grilled chicken, black beans in a chipotle bbq sauce, cilantro lime pesto rice, pico salsa, plus cheddar and jack cheese.I am tired of the bland chain Fresh-Mex type places and the so-so plates full of slop covered with cheese that most Mexican restaurants in Portland offer. If you are ever downtown during lunch hour this is THE place to eat!Pros + Locally Owned, They Cater too!, Best Salsa Bar aroundCons – Open Lunch only M-F, Street parking , Only 1 loca

As an employee of Twilight for the last 1.5 years I definitely know what every item in the restaurant tastes like. And I have to say I LOVE 98% of our menu items. I have had many years of working with pizza (Godfathers, Dominoes and Dragoos) and know that Twilight has the best pizza that I have come across in the Portland Metro Area. I started working as a cook my first 8 months at Twilight, and then was able to move to the front of the house and become a server. I truly enjoy serving at Twilight and taking care of our guests. We have quite a few fantastic regulars, who I look forward to seeing weekly. I have met many fantastic people and have heard sooooo many compliments about our food, service, decor (the floor and the giant blue paper lantern), our involvement with the community, and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. There are people that drive from Lake Oswego and Woodland when they want pizza. (That is a huge honor, since there are dozens of pizza joints between us

No more tableside cooking: Used to be five stars now four stars. New chef and no tableside cooking is a big change for us. The food is still very good and John Louie is the best waiter in Portland. I hope they bring back the tableside service. That is a big problem for us.Stu CookPros + best waiter in portland is John LouieCons – no more tableside cooking

I go here a couple of times a month, it’s close to my office, and I always get the Relleno Burrito. I find it super tasty and full of flavor, I add some of the red sauce to the inside. Sometimes I want to try something else but I love the Relleno Burrito too much. I love the quick service and the cheapness of the food. The quality isn’t A+ but it is very good. The thing I don’t like is that I often have to call and call and call because they ignore their phone and I don’t like standing around waiting for my burrito. Also I always eat the whole thing and always want to take a nap by about 2:00 because I’m so full of deliciousness. Some of my coworkers just eat half of one but I lack their willpower.Pros + Cheap, FastCons – Parking, Service, Ambiance

I love the food in this place and cannot imagine those who do not like the food. It is fresh, tasty, consistent . . . just overall excellent. The happy hour street taco is one of my favorites (the veggie one), the tortilla soup, goat cheese quesa,, etc, etc. chips and salsa are excellent! Go with several friends and enjoy! Sometimes, not usually, the service might be less attentive, but over the years, I have usually found it to be excellent. The margaritas are great. If you like it less sweet tell them you like it on the sour side!I do wish they would have afternoon hours and Sunday would be great, but understand they may not be able to be open all hours and days. Pros + Pleasant, especially in summer outside or in.Cons – Hours/days open; parking (take the bus)
