Where is the Best Lunch Spot in Houston, Texas?
Sunday seems to be the best day to go. For $26 a head, you each get your choice of any 3 tapas and an entree., as well as bottomless Mimosas or Sangria. The tapas were hardly “little bites” There were 4 of us, so we had a pretty good variety of tastes to sample. Though plenitful, the food was a bit bland for our taste. The service was very good, as was the ambiance and they kept the wine flowing.The only negative was the waitress also tried to stick us with a 33% tip, but removed it when I complained. That left a sour taste on our tongues, Not to mention she got a smaller tip than she would have gotten without the funny business.Pros + Sunday brunch is a great way to check out a variety of dishes.Cons – They try to stick you with a 30% tip
Read reviews from citysearch and thought going there for their crawfish special. Service is quick except when seating, no one helps. Waitress comes to us within couple minutes and bring drinks right away. recommend us happy hour specials. very nice. crawfish is great and spicy. We also had a chich philli cheese and it is the best chick sandwich we ever had. Food comes to table quick. I come here almost once a week for lunch or dinner, and love the place. The head waiter knows me now and talks when I come in, and the rest of the staff is nice. They do tend to take a while when its busy though. Their salsa is really good, and their queso is good too. I didn’t really like the queso flameado, but that is just a matter of taste, others have liked it. I love their combo plate at lunch and their camarones diablos for dinner. The quail is good, but a little greasy here. Also, I’ve never liked any of their pork dishes. It has a cool little patio that is fun to sit and drink on when the Houston weather allows. My wife and I have been to Crapitto?s three times, and though she prefers Mia Bella by a small margin, I greatly prefer Crapitto?s. The restaurant itself is intimate ? a great place to take a date. If you have a larger party, try reserving the wine room. When the weather?s nice, the patio seating is great; at night, it can be romantic. Parking is difficult ? you can try to find a spot on the street, take your chances being towed/booted for parking in the lot across the street, or you can valet. I enjoy the Cappellini di Mare, but my favorite dish is the Crawfish Linguini with spicy alfredo sauce. It?s on the lunch menu, but I?ve requested it at dinner and the kitchen came through for me. Actually, it?s my favorite Italian dish in Houston (though it?s not a traditional Italian dish). The salads are good, as is the bread. I?m not a fan of olives, so I pass on the olive spread.
