Where is the Best Lunch Spot in Denver, Colorado?

I love this place so much. I used to work fairly closed to this cafe and had lunch there with my co-workders. Ever since I got a new job, I have not been able to go there becasue they are closed on saturdays and sundays. They opened up another cafe in downtown and this new location is open in weekends, so I should try this new place soon. Anyway, what is great about Jay’s is that they have the best grilled panini in town! I usually could not decide if I should order Wash-Park Turkey or Hot Gorgonzola Panino. They are both awsome! I took my husband there once even though he is not a huge fan of deli places because he thinks that most of delis are usually over-rated and over-priced. Jay’s is an exception for him. He ordered Emily’s Roast Beef and he loved it so much! He kept talking about this place for awhile, which is very unusual for him. I have never tried their salad or soup, but my friends told me that they are also great.I recommend this place to everyone! They are

Had a great pizza at Bastien’s. It was a flat square vegetarian pizza. Very good, the salad came with the restaurants own dressing which was low fat. The bread sticks were also very good and came with pizza sauce. The service was very quick and friendly.

Lunch here with a group – there is something for everyone and everything is pretty good on the menu – from cobb salad and enchiladas to turkey sandwich with gravy. Priced right at $8 – $12 for a nice business lunch. Because its large, its never too crowded – Margs are good for later too. Service is hit and miss – sometimes quick others unbearably slow. Wouldn’t recommend for a romantic or hip dinner – lunch / happy hour is best.Pros + large variety, good value, good lunchCons – service iffy, lacks atmostphere

You’ve got to know going in that this place is not posh. It’s simply a fun, casual neighborhood Mexican restaurant that gives the feeling that it’s proudly family owned and operated. The Mariachi band on Friday night is why I go. It’s a cheap, fast dinner and you get serenaded at the same time. The kids usually love it! During the warmer months, there’s a little secluded patio where you can eat outside. Again, fun! The food is satisfying and traditionally mexican – no frills – but yummy. I’d say worth a trip for the price and ambience.Pros + Mariachi band , casual, priceCons – no frills, can be loud
