Where is the Best Lunch Spot in Baltimore, Maryland?
Weiss Deli is by no means Third in my opinion. They have “The Best” Lean Corn Beef Sandwich Around! It is generously packed full of meat which is almost twice the amount that their neighboring legendary Attman’s Delicatessen gave me. They even cater to my weird request… I get mine with a slice of Swiss in the middle but I don’t like the cheese melted onto the bread. They actually take the time to separate the meat and place my slice of Swiss right in the middle for me.I Highly Recommend them.In all fairness I cannot compare them to Lenny’s because I have not tried their Lean Corn Beef yet. Thanks Weiss for making “The Best” Lean Corn Beef Sandwich that I’ve had so far!Pros + Thumbs up to their delicious food and great serviceCons – Ambience is nothing spectacular
Never had a problem with No Way Jose’s. They usually have a sandwich board sign out on the sidwalk advertising the specials and the beertenders are aware of whats posted. Good chicken wings but haven’t tried the dollar tacos. As far as one of the posters complaint about the homeless, those people are constantly up and down the street in search of cash. Just learn to ignore them, it’s the people who give them cash that makes it hard on working stiffs like us. Never seen any “homeless” people in Jose’s either
Attman’s is an institution. Where old buildings on Lombard Street have been demolished and replaced with condos, Attman’s still stands and serves juicy sandwiches, delicious western fries, and an assortment of sodas. You will be entertained by the antics of the counter staff and locals. It is also politically correct there to be called “sweetie” or “hun” by the cashier. The Kibbitz Room has not changed in at least 30 years, if not more. Pictures of the restaurant and Baltimore History adorn the walls. Yes, it is still family owned and you can park next door for free. Pros + Character of the Staff and Kibbitz RoomCons – Long Lines and a Bit Cramped
Unfortunately you cannot consistently get better Buffalo wings in Baltimore than Bill bateman’s. Being one who has actually had authentic Buffalo wings in that quaint little town on the U.S. side of Niagra Falls; Bill Bateman’s reproduction falls a bit short of that Buffalo delicacy, however, Bill still offers a wing head and shoulders above everything else in and around Charm City.Pros + wings, libations, locationCons – parking, consistent quality, location
