Where is the Best Lounge in Seattle, Washington?
I didn’t really know what to expect when we went to the Wedgwood Broiler. I thought it might be like The 13 coins restaurant, which is cool in a kitschy kind of way. However, it turns out that the Wedgwood Broiler is NOT a place for a big crowd of 20-somethings looking for a retro night. This place is for families with kids and for older folks looking to a ‘nice’ meal out.You walk in the “In” door and this place takes you back to a different time. Dark wood walls, tall booths with coffee cups already on the table and food being kept warm under orange, glowing lights. The waitresses, who have all been there for 20+ years, look like your 3rd grade best friend’s mom and they are warm and welcoming. The food is rather bland, but I have to say, I grinned when our house salads came out — served with baco-bits and cheez-its. We ordered a quesadilla & mini corn dogs for the kids and we each had a French Dip. Very plain, just the way the grandparents would have liked it.No, the food
let me start by saying i’m one of the few who don’t like linda’s other bars. “lindas” on capitol hill and “king’s hardware” are too easily a place for children to join forces in the army of drunken weekend displays of intentional retardation of the social skills. how then, did she come up with such a refined atmosphere with elegant furnishings and an exceptional selection of fine beverages, find a couple of really great bartenders, and put it all together in a great location?who knows… but i adore this bar. go there for happy hour, have a few then find something to eat at any of the great restaurants within sight of the viceroy’s front door. then go back to the viceroy and enjoy the week night scene, if you get too drunk, or find a one-night-stand buddy, ask your bartender how to get to the ace hotel.Pros + very good spot for a date, or a whole party.Cons – can get too crowded.
Friendly environment. I came to Seattle for a weekend. I took visits to half dozens of club here. This club indeed drew my attention. The crowds are good looking (similar to the ones in Manhattan Beach and Beverly hill in LA). The dance floor is kind of small but the people there are friendly (good quality and smiling all the times). I am not a fan of house music. But the DJ was really good that night…I am the world traveler (been six continents except Antarctica:). It is not the best club in the world, but this club indeed has its quality and is a good place to hang out in Seattle.Pros + good atmosphere. Friendly crowdsCons – music is great though I prefer top 40 hip pop
I had my birthday party in the Halverson room at BalMar and it was great! The owner, Susan, was great to work with the schedule to reserve the space and our server, Randy, was fabulous! Our big group was very well taken care of!It is an amazing space and although it’s a little different than it used to be (there is a dance floor where the pool tables used to be) it has a fun, upbeat vibe perfect for large groups.Pros + Great space/Great staff
