If you’re passionate about house music you’ll probably enjoy a night at Club Six. Most DJs are phenomenally talented and creative. It has a distinctive underground feel–a welcome respite from many of the cheesy clubs that decorate the city, and very conducive to some serious dancing. The women are beautiful, hip, friendly, and totally unpretentious. That said, Club Six may have enough negative attributes to poison the entire experience. To begin with, clubbers have to traverse through one of the worst areas in SF; though I didn’t have any problems, I wouldn’t want to go alone. The house music is downstairs in an incredibly hot room with no ventilation. What really disappointed me, however, was the male portion of the crowd. They were rude, unsophisticated boys who looked like they just stepped out of the frat house. Most of them were awful dancers to boot.Pros + great music, friendly staff, cool girlsCons – , bad neighborhood, awful guys

This place turns into a kind of unofficial club on Thursday nights (lots of dancing..some disco lights..one of the servers started mixing some Arabic music), and a more official one on Saturday (they have a cover charge..) Every other day of the week, it’s nice, the service is amazing, the bread and tea are exceptional. They even come wash your hands with scented water. Dim lighting, lots of oriental decoration, cushions and carpets everywhere, very sensual and romantic (reds, blacks, purples, swirling patterns…). However, it’s also great for a large group, or even if you just want to come in for some hookah with a friend (highly recommended, lots of flavors for only $15). The guys who run it are very friendly, constantly coming around to refill your tea or to make sure you are having the best time possible. The bellydancing is good, but can vary. It’s, at the least, always entertaining.Pros + Great service, great tea, good hookah, delicious food, great ambience. Good for a party

I liked that my friend arranged for us to not have to stand in line very long since we were there for part of a bachelorette party. Also liked the blue-lit floor.Drinks were moderately priced, seemed…

This place has diversity, its great. If you play by the rules (have id, shoes, dressed decently), you will have a good time. The decor and ambience is soothing. Men – ambitious, trendy, blazer sporting. Women – 2nd year law or advertising 30 year olds. Haa, just kidding. If you are someone who prefers to still hear “Brass Monkey” when out for the night, visit on Friday night (graduated frat crowd). If you are like me and wear a t-shit with a $3K Breitling, visit on Sat night…its more U.N.
