Where is the Best Lounge in Phoenix, Arizona?
If you like the movie Roadhouse than this is your kind of place. There’s a lot of tank tops and muscles on display. Having said that, if your confortable in that kind of atmosphere, then this place is great. Always a fun and racious crowd, sometimes a little too fun though. I wouldn’t take a first date there becaus it’s really loud. They mostly play a mix of classic rock from the 70’s and 80’s. The bartenders are great and always friendly. It’s a fun place, but it might not be for everyone.
Chez Nous is a small nightclub near downtown Phoenix. It reminded me of one of the bars in Swingers. Real dark inside with basically the only light coming from a string of Christmas type lights on the ceiling that run the length of the bar, which is a long one like the Cheers bar. On the left are some black leather booths for cocktails and on the end is where the band plays. There’s live music every night and Thurs – Sun there’s a $5 cover. In August they’re moving to a downtown location though which is kind of a bummer because although the current neighborhood is sort of seedy the place has some character.
This club is typical Scottsdale. For those who don’t know what that means, lots of fake boobs and snobby people. But, if you want a club experience then this place is great. good music, tons of people on the weekend. Dark atmosphere with lots of little tables and coaches. Drinks are expensive of course and you should dress to impress.
This place is awesome! Two years ago, we were visiting Scottsdale on vacation. As lovers of good food and wine, we noticed Tapino and walked to the door to peek inside. The media manager, Wendy, opened the door and invited us inside, even though she knew we’d already eaten elsewhere. It was her kindness that brought us back to Tapino. Now that we live in the area, we’ve been back many times with friends and visitors who never stop talking about the wonderful dining experience. The food is creative, and delicious with unbelievable pairings of the best wine list in the valley. The creativity of owner and Executive Chef James and his staff, who glide around the kitchen creating the eloquent offerings of flavors that burst in your mouth with every bite, is unsurpassed in quality and taste. We’ve never been disappointed. The well informed staff who know every detail about the menu items, and which wine to select with the offering . . . right down to the young man who refills
Went on a Wednesday for Goth/Industrial night….it was neither. Is Depeche Mode goth? After a maze of detours to actually get there (light rail construction) I was impressed with the bar itself. Dance floor downstairs chill out upstairs. We got out of there by 1am, maybe they actually played Goth/Ind. afterwards, but I would definitely give a another try whether Wed or any other night. Ample parking.
