Where is the Best Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee?

I’ve eaten here a few times: a couple at the old location, and a couple at the new one. At the old location, it won Best of Nashville for “Restaurant with a View”, now it’s tucked next to overflow parking for downtown events. Coming from the northeast where Italian food abounds, I was never blown away by the food. I mean, it’s good. It’s just not what you’d want for a last meal on deathrow. The last time I went (at the new location), I was uninspired. The food was (again) just OK, but this time they had to raise the prices to cover the move to the new location. Needless to say, it wasn’t that great to begin with, and was overpriced at the old location. This is a bit sad, given that there really aren’t many non-franchise Italian restaurants in Nashville, and just about all of them are merely acceptable in the food dept, and in that regard, they’re usually inconsistent. Sadly, I’ve taken to eating at the upper-end franchises, as the food is always good (if not terribl

I just went back and… hot DAYUM that place was jumpin!Ronda & Jonda were rockin’ the joint. Everybody… every age, gender, color, social status and preference… was having a fantastic time.I went back the next night for Karaoke and DJ Debra blew me away with her own soulful blues, while every singer who ponied up to the stage gave a really solid performance… you usually have to pay a lot more than $3 to see entertainment like this. So needless to say, the cover was VERY reasonable. The bar was WAY crowded, but the drinks were generous in both size and alcohol content. I had just two of their special cocktails, the “Gray Ghost,” and I was IMPAIRED. ‘Course, I didn’t drive. I sobered up with some very respectable hot wings from the kitchen, and danced it off!I love the Lipstick Lounge! You will too!Pros + Friendly staff, Stiff drinks, Great entertainmentCons – Tiny dance floor

I think the Mercy Lounge is a great, laid back bar. It’s in the old Cannery building, which brings back great memories from 10-20 years ago when it was a hopping venue for some of the best bands around. The Lounge is very large and open, which accomodates smokers and non-smokers. They have pool tables, two bars, a deck, a stage and a few comfortable sofas to hang out on. The owners and staff are great and don’t have the attitude that blemishes so many bars in Nashville. My only suggestion is they replace some of the cheap diner tables/chairs with more sofas. Check it out…Pros + laid back, large, not smokey

My friends and I were just discussing Virago today. I absolutely am addicted to their sushi…in fact last summer- I was there almost every monday night for half priced sushi monday. One would think that being a loyal patron who ordered massive quantities of sushi- the wait staff would be polite and courteous. This was not the case. It is not at all wheelchair accessible and no effort was made to accomodate my wheelchair- when I asked if I could stash it some place so I would not be hanging out in the aisles- the hostesses acted like it was an atrocious request and was somehow cluttering the pretentious flair of their lounge.However- their food and martinis and delicious. Overpriced- but delicious.
