Where is the Best Lounge in Austin, Texas?
I’ve been here for HH many times but never on a Friday and we never have sat at the bar until this Saturday. My girlfriend and I had dinner here this past Sat. before we went out for the evening and our experience was a “first class, five star” service. The really funny thing were the two bartenders making us laugh because they were joking with one of the guest about not getting them two confuse, one has hair and one doesn’t. The “no hair” guy greeted us and took our order. He went as far as placing napkins down for us. He just didn’t take our order and ran off to make drinks. He made sure we were comfortable and satisfied before he moved on. My comment was, “Wow! VIP treatment”! We both agreed! Both of them checked on us and “no hair” made us an “Asian Love” martini. That was the best drink I ever had made with champagne. Me and my girl go to Submerged almost every weekend and we meet up up with our circle of friends there frequently. They always take great care of us and have a wonderful staff! Fridays and Saturdays are lively and great for a night out on the town with out messing with college kids in the other districts. During the week its a relaxed haven for happy hour and me and and the guys catch games there often. Its design is like nothing else in Austin…very cool! I was in California last summer and I was at a place similar..(maybe same owner??) All in all I will keep on singing its praises and be a loyal customer….Pros + Great drink specials and cool signature drinks…Cons – Waiting for the rooftop deck!!!
I am a straight white girl, who LOVES Latino Night at RCC. I don’t even know where to start, I guess I’ll start with the fact, I always go with my best-friend, Victor, whom rocks my latino night world!!! Ok anyway, the door guy Daniel is awesome! Always up for jokes and chit chatting, the bartender’s Sam; wears this awesome neon thong that he will show you on demand. Jamie is awesome too, he has never been a drag queen, just a “man in a dress.” And Angel is fabulous!!! She hooks it up, for me and my friends!! We love her. The DJ, Alex is such a cutie, and always plays my favorite song, Baby Te Quiero by Flex y Belinda and plays a sweet mix of Selena, he also makes sure to throw some hip hop in there. The Owner is the sweetest Lady and deserves major props for having such a nice managed club. They have a very cozy patio to go out and smoke on and shoot the breeze. I would definitely recommend this club to everybody, that is down for the alternative lifestyle, which living in Aus
I found Siver and Stone while driving through downtown Georgetown. Boy am I glad I did! My wife and I went to the top of the building and enjoyed the best view of the N.Austin in the area. Six stories up and a wrap around porch. I plan on going back and watching the fireworks after the Friday Express games. We both shared the mushroom appetizers and each had a glass of wine. They were fantastic! The mood was causual but not too casual. They also had a band that was playing on the patio to help ease you into the weekend. I do plan on going back for brunch on Sunday. If the brunch menue was as tasty as the happy hour bar menue, I will not be disappointed. I strongly suggest goiing. I give it a 5 star rating and I will return! Pros + food, happy hour, view
This is the hot new spot on West 6th! They make great cocktails and have cocktail waitresses for the back table area; I’m still working my way through their menu of unique sharing plates; and there is always a great crowd of fun, hip young professionals. I’ve been there a number of times for Happy Hours and ended up staying there the rest of the night. The atmosphere is so comfortable and they play great music, its hard to leave! And they have a VIP section set off to the side which is a great spot to reserve for a birthday party or group event (I brought my coworkers here a few weeks ago for a company HH)…has comfy seats, flat panel TVs but its not totally cut off from the rest of the bar — so you can still keep your eye on the cute guy/girl across the room! JBlacks has only been open for about 2 months but i think they’ve got staying power for this area and clientele.
