There are few places as cozy, no matter what the season, as the Fox and Hounds. Sometimes on a Friday night after work it can be a little crowded, but on a Saturday night, it can be quiet enough to have a pleasant drink and conversation. It’s small, and a bit claustrophobic, but in a sense, that is its charm. Not to mention the competent bartender, and the piano player, who comes in around 10 pm.The pizza is a bit pricey, around $17.00 for a large, but is good. The cheese platter is a good value, and the drinks are reasonably priced. For me it’s not so much a singles bar, but a place to hang out and talk, and have a few good pints, or one of their great drinks. The hot scotch is especially good, any time of year.If you like sitting around in low light, on comfy couches and chairs, then this is the place for you. That being said, let’s keep it a secret, but tell your friends….

The Sheldon Concert hall is a wonderful place for a concert. If you like to get intimate with your music you have to attend a concert at The Sheldon. Perfect Acoustics, comfortable seating, and great services! Full Bar before and during intermission. Banquet halls, and more! Please support The Sheldon Concert Hall.Pros + Good Parking, Sound, SeatingCons – Nothing, Nothing, Nothing

At first it appeared to be a decent happy hour bar so I decided to try at night. Lousy wings an understatement . On our (My wife and I) last of many visits the same was true I have had better from a frozen box from the Grocers. After complaining the punk/kid/manager forced us to pay or the police would be called. After paying the bill I attempted to complain at the door and was shoved out by restaurant employees. We called the Sunset Hills Police who arrived and said there was a video of us at the door being shoved out. The police apologized but we would have had to press charges against five restaurant employees. We complained to management who ignored the letter. If you are willing to put up with anything just to meet people there go for it. The musical entertainment stinks at best (Third rate garage bands or Dr. Shevegas, raise a lit bic lighter) and the prices are crazy for frozen box food.Pros + Draws large crowds because there is a lack of good dance clubs in STLCons – Poor

For a dance venue go the the bar on the weekend, it’s lively and entertaining, but get there early to get a seat and miss the cover charge. Sunday and Monday evenings are more quiet and a seat a the bar is best. Hurricane, the bartender is great and personalable. You’ll have a great time!Pros + great burgers, good foodCons – smokey, sometimes loud

I went to see Mike Birbiglia at the Pageant for my first visit. The view from our seats was fine, but there was no room. The dude sitting next to my husband was halfway on his lap. Thankfully the chick sitting next to me was really skinny, so we all shifted slightly to her side just to fit in the seats. Floor seats were packed WAY to close together. Reminded me of bac hotel conference room seating. Next time, we are sitting in the balcony.Pros + Location, parkingCons – space
