Where is the Best Live Music Venue in Orlando, Florida?
The band was playing when I got there, and they were dead-on, playing Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, and even some new stuff. The bar was staffed with friendly tenders who made good mixed drinks. My friend arrived, and we languished at the bar for a while, finally going upstairs for two of their house special filet mignons (with gorgonzola cheese, I think). They melted in our mouths.Went back downstairs and danced our butts off.Walked across the street to talk for a while, overlooking the lake.Overall, one of the best nights of my life!Pros + Great band, Great food, Great drinksCons – Service, Early closing time
Amazing beer selection. Period. Perhaps not as many in sheer numbers as some other bars/ pubs (although they still probably have upwards of 2 or 3 dozen yummy, obscure, and beer aficionado standbys), but the choices on the menu are, on the whole, very well picked. They recently started offering a monthly local microbrew selection. Very relaxed, neighborhood bar atmosphere- which is perfect if you want an evening to meet a few friends, enjoy a variety of tasty imports at very reasonable prices all while avoiding the parking and frat/sorority denizens nightmare which can be downtown on any given evening. And, as a bonus, the bartenders/ servers are cool and actually seem to know and care about their beers, which is refreshing to say the least. I >think< the pool tables may even be free of charge, and theres darts as well. They also have a good menu of "drinking" snack/ comfort foods :)Pros + Beer selection, good prices, low key hangout, good (if perhaps a bit limited) service.Cons
I went to B.B. King’s for New Year’s Eve and had an absolute blast! Everything was really organized, and we were seated at our table right away. The food came out extremely fast and was piping hot. I had the Bourbon Strip steak that was cooked exactly the way I wanted it, and my friend got the Carolina BBQ Salmon and practically licked the plate! The menu has a wide variety of soul food such as ribs and catfish bites but also has regular items such as burgers, chicken fingers, and salads. The house band played on New Year’s Eve and they were awesome! They had so much life and really got the crowd into it- the dance floor was packed by the end of dinner. The band plays a variety of blues and popular soul music such as Earth, Wind, and Fire, Tina Turner, etc. The staff is also really friendly and entertaining- bartenders Ron, Tim, and James kept us laughing all night. The crowd there was a great mix- some people had brought their whole families, and the predominant age range was probably
