Where is the Best Live Music Venue in Orange County, California?
I like this place is has a dive-y atmoshpere which is nice because so many places around OC are sparkling new and lack style … the bands I’ve seen have been entertaining and talented … the drinks are cheap and the parking is ample … the staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean … there are several great restaurants in the same complex and even a huka bar … come early and make a fun night of it!
We really didn’t give this place a chance because it was my boyfriend’s birthday and we wanted to be in a really decent place. We made reservations, which obviously weren’t necessary, and went dressed up to our dissappointment. The place was your typical neighborhood coffee shop with a swinging door and bright lights. As well as a stage where they did play Jazz. I cannot attest to the quality of music as we there on a break. The point of this review is that if you want to go to a fancy/nice Jazz club and dress up THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO.
I love the HOB. I’ve been a frequent customer both at the Anaheim and Sunset venues. So, when I was looking for a place to take my fun-loving extended family to brunch, I thought the HOB Anaheim would be perfect for them. Regretfully, I have to say that I was not impressed with the food, drinks, and overall presentation. I’m not a picky eater, by any means. Started off with a Bloody Mary that tasted more like a tomato slushy, it was a meal unto itself. I expected more fresh items and more desserts. You get the traditional mac ‘n’ cheese, potatoes, omelette bar…but only two desserts were offered (bread pudding and a plate of cookies)and their fresh fruit was in one bowl that looked like left-overs from the 10am seating. We enjoyed the music, although extremely loud. Pros + Ambiance, Validated ParkingCons – Over-Priced, No Fresh Items
