Where is the Best Live Music Venue in Dallas, Texas?
Overall I found this place to be a good venue on the few times I’ve had a chance to go. Most of the times, there’s some unobtrusive live jazz act playing which can be good if you’re not into the whole live and raucous music found anywhere else. The times we’ve gone I think was on a Sunday when they’ve discounted their tapas menu. That’s what we stuck with, and you can’t go wrong here with around 25 different selections to choose from, you’ll find something pleasing and well priced for everyone. Their wine line isn’t vast, but I found it suitable for the place and food served. I haven’t been in awhile but there always seems to be steady business there, so maybe it’s time I head back.
Maybe I just came on a bad night. Twice. But I like to see my cousin’s band play on the weekends when I can. But seriously, the bartending staff needs an attitude adjustment. Just because it’s too loud to understand the tab instructions the first time doesn’t mean I need someone to come out from behind the bar, scream in my face (exactly what, I couldn’t understand), and literally throw my credit card at me. And she scratched out the tip area on my receipt just for good measure! Like this was a likelihood, a tip. Not that being busy would be a justification for this, but I was one of three people at the bar. I’m about as chilled out as they come. I’m still seriously wondering what happened that night, or better yet what SHE thinks happened that night. I’ll certainly be back to see Edgewater, but you can bet they’re not getting any more beer money from me. That was scary.Pros + EdgewaterCons – Self-important bartender(s)
Wow, I went there for lunch and had the best reuben sandwinch I have had in a looonnng time! the food was great. I came alone so I sat at the bar and the people there were like a cheers. Very friendly and chatty. When I left I felt sastisfied from my lunch , service and the company. It’s a great place,I haven’t been there for the bands, but I can say you should really try their food!Pros + Great value, great pastrami, nice crowdCons – parking… you CAN go to the davis bldg for a dollar across the street ( not bad eh?)
