Burbank’s serves excellent barbecue. I prefer the pulled pork sandwich, which is done right, smoked over a low flame for hours and not slathered with any sauce. If you want to add sauce, you can choose from several varieties. They have a tomato-based, vinegar-based, and mustard-based sauce. If you want to replicate the authentic Southern barbecue experience, make sure to put your coleslaw on the sandwich.

I used to really like this bar, but over the past couple of years it’s gotten really awful. We went recently with friends who were in town and only stayed for about 10 minutes before going across the street to Mt. Lookout Tavern (LOVE IT!!!). We ordered some shots that cost about $10 and they weren’t even made right! It wasn’t even a full shot. We asked the bartender and he said “All it is is Citron”…wrong….he needs to read up on how to make drinks. Very poor customer service and we won’t be back. It’s sad the way it changed. If you want to go to Mt. Lookout, just go to Mt. Lookout Tavern. They make great drinks and have great customer service. Pros + Getting into both this bar and MLTs for the same priceCons – See my review and also very snobby people

The Sandbar is a great hidden gem on the river. A part of the 4 Seasons Marina complex, the Sandbar hosts local bands each week on the outside deck. The servers were very helpful and the food was great! Be sure to try the quesadillas or Walts Famous wings. Home to CSL Volleyball league, the outdoor courts are a great way to enjoy the warm summer nights. Highly recommended!Pros + Friendly service, great food and the best volleyball courts in Cincinnati.Cons – Somewhat hard to find. No Kellogg Ave signage. Very busy on CSL nights.
