Within walking distance from the loop, and a good atmosphere. Buddy Guy’s is a breath of fresh air for a visitor from Seattle. We paid $10 per person for cover on a Sunday night and were treated to a good show. The environment was just right as there was a crowd but the place wasn’t uncomfortably packed. My wife ordered the Pecan Pie and I had the Soul Combo. The pie was excellent and the Soul Combo was above average. The portion was huge but the ribs were a little tough. This is definitely a sit and listen to music kind of place which contrasts with Kingston Mines. The crowd was definitely older and appreciative of the vibe. I would recommend this place to friends as a must visit while in Chicago.Pros + Atmosphere, service, music and cornbreadCons – Ribs were tough and poor military discount
