Where is the Best Live Music Venue in Charlotte, North Carolina?
I have been going to the Double Door since it opened.Yes, it’s crowded, service is slow, and the don’t offer “snacks”. So what? It’s all about the music!! The cover charge is not pricey considering the calibre of music that you hear. I hate cigarettes and it is smokey, but I will gladly pay the cover and brave the smoke for some of the great talent that I have seen there. It ain’t you average pick up bar with chicks grinding each other on the dance floor and putting their tongues down each other’s throats. Buckhead is the first bar I went to my first time in Charlotte. It has the look of a sports bar with the never ending peanuts you can just toss the shells on the ground, but when it gets to be 11 or later, you can def tell its not even close. I like the live music, not many places in town have it. I especially like when the bands take a break bc they play some great old school rap. I highly recommend on a thursday night or for a couple drinks before a bobcats game (its like 2 blocks away).
I have heard so much about Ri Ra’s from friends at work that I just had to try it for myself. I did like the atmosphere, the people were charming and the food was delicious, I ordered the Pub Chop and I was pleased with how juicy and flavorful it was. Unfortunately, I unknowingly picked a night where there was a horrid guitar player playing wanna be cover songs, with seemingly himself on computer back up? It absolutely ruined my time. I will return I will just find out when that lad with the half beard and baseball cap will not be on stage.Pros + food, drink, atmosphereCons – horrid, cover music
This club is a great place to go. Musics good but if you dont love all country music all the time then this club isnt for you. I must say though last time I went some of the locals werent to kind of someone other then white coming into the bar not saying they arent welcome but that is what I saw. Purple hooter shooters are awesome here and my husband liked the mixed drinks too. Club is often crowded and if your not a smoker believe me youll come out smelling like it so dont enter if you cant take the smoke. Otherwise have fun and party hard
This was a good place. I went there with two of my volleyball girls and they fit right in. a good mix of people adn good for families, probably not witht he little ones later in the evening. They have live music on certain nights as well which made things fun.Pros + Food was quick and reasonably pricedCons – Took a while to get our check
